I could see lights up ahead, glittering through the evergreens and the orange-hued leaves, and the clearing, even from this distance, looked warm and inviting.
“Hey, Kath,” I said, stopping her before she could hop down from the cabin.
“What is it?” She asked, frowning at my serious tone.
“I was looking in the Book of Shadows before Falmer turned up earlier. There was a bit we hadn’t seen before, a bit talking about signs. Supernatural signs,” I added, remembering the title of the section and feeling the sudden need to differentiate.
