I groaned when water splashed on my body. We are at the house of my best friend, Linda, celebrating her birthday. Unlike any other people who celebrate their birthdays together with many of their colleagues, Linda wanted to do it with only me and her parents Lisa and David. Lisa has been a cripple for 6 months now. She got into an accident and unfortunately, that happened to her. David is upstairs taking care of his wife at the moment. “You know what. Every night I always dream for my mother’s fast recovery. Even though she tries to hide it, I could see in her eyes how much it affected her, not only physically but emotionally and morally.”

This sweet little puppy, this perfect doll, made some switch flip in my mind because now all I could almost see myself doing was fucking her, playing with her until I finally get to take her life away. Maybe it was the way she begged or the way the words slipped from her mouth so fast she couldn’t censor herself. Or maybe it was the quiet sobs and the big tears that were rocking her body. Or it was the fact that she was lying in front of me, restrained and naked, and her body was trembling as it waited for my touch.

“Daddy, this isn’t a new story.” Millicent laughed “This is Cinderella.” “Well, I can’t deny that there are some similarities.” He sighed, thinking about how much easier everything would have been if his Cinderella had left a shoe for him to find a little earlier than five years later “But, you’ll soon realize what makes them a little different. Especially because this story is more about the prince than it is about her. At least, that’s the side of the story I’m most familiar with.”

Telling me she needs a ‘calling spell’. “My supplies are limited. Once I have made Marco’s antidote, everything I have is yours.” I promised her. Frederick must have brought her here for a reason. Everyone here must be here for a reason. “Now everyone is here. Who are you all? I don’t want half-truths, either.” Nathan says, pointing at Ellie. Who smirks at him? He wants to find out the riddle of who Ellie is. That will please Edgar. Without hesitation, she gets to her feet. “My birth name is Eleanor Walker. The eldest child of Wolf King Angarr and Witch Queen Iduna. I should have been the Queen. But my sister and I went into hiding after their murder.”

If just to see her smile. There was one story she always loved. It was a story I tweaked just for her. It went like this: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Cindy who lived alone in a tower guarded by a ferocious wolf. Many tried to rescue her, but they all failed, for only a brave knight with the heart of a genuine man could rescue her from captivity. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years, while she sat at the window of the tower, praying to the stars for her heroic knight to save her. Yet, no one was brave enough to slay the beast. As time passed, Princess Cindy’s hope of ever being rescued diminished piece by piece, filling her heart with despair

"Isn't all this like Cinderella? You are Cinderella, disappearing at midnight and I'm your Prince." Midnight shook his head biting down a chuckle. "Cinderella my ass."

Each day that passed we fell more and more in love and as the love between us grew, so did Cara’s belly with our baby safe inside of it…Oh, and she glowed, becoming the most beautiful pregnant woman that I have ever seen. Our lives have been peaceful ever since Eva and Susanna fled to Asia and we were living in harmony. Every morning we had breakfast together and every afternoon we would either have dinner in our garden or the balcony. Our lives were filled with romance and undying love. I know of many love stories like the one which my parents shared or Emma’s incomplete and tragic love story but the one shared between Cara and I, is my favorite.

She went about dusting me off, and Gabby even stepped in to help. On the other side of the counter, Shaw snapped his fingers and pointed at me. “Dust!” he cried as if the word was a revelation in itself. Then he murmured, “Cinders,” before a huge smile spread across his face. He grinned smugly at Ezra. “Evil stepmother.” Transferring his attention back to me, he added, “Please tell me you have two ugly stepsisters.” “No.” I frowned, wondering why he would ask such a strange, random question. “I have two stepbrothers, but neither of them are ugly.”

I had never imagined Chad would be such a jerk. When Chad and his friend laughed at Annika, I was indignant. I rushed over to cover his mouth, not realizing how pale Annika looked. She fumbled, desperately wanting to run, and eventually tripped and fell into the swimming pool. Nathan saved her, and it became a classic tale of the prince saving the ordinary girl, just like in many romantic stories. People loved to read these kinds of stories. As the couple's story gained popularity on campus, it became evident that it needed a villain, a malicious character who would bully Cinderella and try to steal her prince away. I was perfect for that role.

How was it possible that one man looked as handsome as ten handsome men? How could something like that ever be fair? How was it fair that such man happened to fall in love with a woman like her? Her happy ending was happier than any happy endings ever recorded in history. Cinderella? Snow white? Rapunzel? Aurora? Tiana? Of all of the princesses in the world of fairytale, she was the one with the happiest ending ever. Sure she was not a princess neither was she getting married to a prince, but Romeo was ten times better than a prince. Better than a king.
