Light & Darkness: Book 3

Light & Darkness: Book 3

I was sad enough with my own suffering and didn't need any additional negative emotions. I moved further into the forest, listening to the rustle of leaves, the chirping of birds and other sounds of forest inhabitants. The sun shone lightly through the treetops, I heard a woodpecker tapping on the bark of a tree, the bustle of squirrels collecting nuts in the hollows, the movement of the wings of insects as they flied by me. That was probably one of the few perks of being a sorceress - I could hear and see all around more clearly. I "felt" nature with my whole being and absorbed its energy. And it was nature that was the basis of magic, white magic, the magic of life, while black magic was m

Light & Darkness: Book 4

the Light? I think most of us will agree and love both our light and dark sides, because we, as humans, have both of these elements - Light and Darkness. It is up to us which of them we will let overcome the other in our hearts. And no matter if you believe in God, another higher power or you are an atheist, you certainly feel the influence of these two opposing elements in your life many times, especially when you have to make an important decision such as, for example, whether to help someone in need? Should I stop or pass someone indifferently? Take care only for yourself and your own interests, or maybe for common good? It is a popular concept of right or wrong, where right is Light and

The Broken Luna Returns

The Broken Luna Returns

This time, I didn’t flinch. The book flared in my hands. Light, bright and white, erupted from it, washing over the forest floor. The shadows were erratic as if it as in pain, if that was even possible. It was twisting and writhing, trying to retreat. The figure screamed too, its voice a mixture of rage and fear. “You cannot—she is not ready—” But the light didn’t stop. It surged through me, through the ground, through the forest itself. And then—silence.

Doing me to the fullest

Doing me to the fullest

Kael had memorized the words until they were etched into his soul: "A world without friction is a world that eventually stops turning. If the peace becomes a cage, break the glass. If the light becomes so bright that you can no longer see the shadows, remember that growth only happens in the dark. Do not be afraid of the fire; be afraid of a light that never changes." Kael lifted the vial. It didn't glow with the calm, rhythmic pulse of the modern cities. It flickered. It was a violent, jagged silver—a liquid lightning that seemed to fight against the glass walls of its container.

Replaced by His First Love

Replaced by His First Love

"Mommy... Mommy, it's coming. The big dark. It's... it's behind the stars." Leo's wet, stuffy gasp was a jagged shard in my chest. He was four. He should be afraid of a scraped knee, not the shadows between dimensions. Since the Ruins, since the light had been ripped away and replaced by that blinding, sovereign gold, he couldn't stand the quiet. He looked at every shadow as if it were a mouth waiting to swallow his fire. "There's no dark here, Leo. Just the lights. Look at the aurora," I rasped. My throat felt like it had been scraped with shards of flint. Every word was a laceration.

His Ruin, My Light

His Ruin, My Light

The shield closed, and we were left to wait outside. An hour passed. Then two. In the third hour, the circle began to flicker with an unnatural light, a color that didn't belong in a proper healing ritual. Martha gripped my arm nervously. "That light… something's wrong." Elder Thomas's face grew grim. "She's using the wrong herbal combination. If this continues, it will—" His words were cut off by a guttural, animalistic scream. The sound was completely inhuman, filled with pain, despair, and… an unspeakable horror.

Because I Once Saw the Light

Because I Once Saw the Light

It hurt so badly that I broke out in cold sweat and pulled myself into a fetal position, shivering hard under my blankets. I thought of getting something to drink and got up, carelessly making my way downstairs to the kitchen. The lights in the living room weren't turned on. However, I caught sight of a dark figure sitting on the couch in the darkness. It was Leonard. He sat on the couch without moving a muscle. He was holding a cigarette between his fingers, the faint glow flickering in the dark. I didn't dare to make a sound and thought of retreating as quietly as possible. "Since you're already up, you might as well come over."

The Rejected Luna's Twin Alphas

The Rejected Luna's Twin Alphas

The ground beneath us began to glow with a soft and pulsing white light, and the silver threads in the air began to vibrate with a melodic intensity. The drone circling above us suddenly dipped, its camera lens turning a brilliant and iridescent silver as it caught the first wave of our broadcast. Across the world, in living rooms and command centers, the screens began to flicker. The grey static was replaced by the image of a woman in a lab coat standing in a glowing quad, her eyes silver and her hands held by her sons. "The 161st chapter is not about silence," I whispered into the resonance, knowing the world was finally listening. "It is about the truth that lives in the marrow."

Alpha Hybrid Queen

Alpha Hybrid Queen

I then began to recite the words, and happily I heard the others doing so, too. “Moon goddess, shine your light down from up high and highlight the place that I wish to seek.” I began repeating the words over and over and then suddenly there was this bright, sparklingly beautiful light and I almost opened my eyes to shield myself from it. But I held them closed, knowing it would break the spell. To see what you couldn’t see, you must first not see what you could see.
