I didn't like that I wasn't able to find the Lunarry spell and didn't even have a plan at hand. I decided to take a longer route to get home. I needed to clear my head and walking usually helped. His brain was constantly thinking, constantly working and quite often he was lost in his own little world. If it weren’t for the other members of Alpha Pi Tau, he would probably never socialize. Making friends was too much work and meant leaving his apartment.

I text Mason to see what he’s up to and he’s free. Mason: I’ll grab a pizza and come over. We can watch a movie or see if a good game is on. ME: Sounds like a brilliant plan. I’ve got the beer. You have some similarities with my dad, you know? You both don’t like listening to people, as if I don’t feel guilty enough.” Ace said with all traces of playfulness gone from his eyes.

Mason gestures vaguely toward the floor. "I'm just saying. You've walked from that wall to this wall forty-three times." I stare. "You counted?" He shrugs. "I have excellent attention to detail." A pause. "Sometimes." He tilts his head. "Have you never wondered why I'm Beta?" Rhoda snorts. Mason looks genuinely offended. "You wound me,” he admits, scowling at Rhoda. I bite the inside of my cheek, holding a laugh at the sight of Mason's ridiculous expression.

Mason sat down on the chair and crossed his legs on the table "Just because you two have a secret hideout? He gives you candy? Take care of you. Layla Layla!! Don't you know this world?" "How do you know the hideout? It was between me and Zion?!" Layla yelled and Mason laughed like he knew something we didn't. "Zion was a psychopath narcissistic, his emotions towards you were nothing but fake," There was something about Mason that I couldn't understand. "Keep that name out of your mouth!! I follow him into the living room and sit on the edge of the armchair.

Mason was known as the one to stay out of the fight unless he abseluty had to get his hands dirty and now he sat at a stool at the kitchen island with a shit eating smirk tugging at his lips as he pulls Sapphire into his side and gives her a lingering kiss on the forehead.
