He whistled softly as he scrubbed the blood from the floor. "I hope this is the last time I kill someone. No one here knows my past. No one will come looking. If I can live here until the end of the apocalypse, or die of old age, that would be nice." He smiled to himself. "Well, that's probably too much to hope for." Before long, the floor was spotless. The bunker now held only one living person, and silence settled in. It felt almost oppressive. The place was so large that it carried a hint of loneliness.

I'd rather a death be quick and painless then of freaking starvation. I haven't been taken from my room in days. I wish I knew how long I've been here. Of course no one is probably looking.
