I broke from the pack and sprinted directly toward the Architect. If we could not kill the army, we had to sever the connection. "Stop her!" the architect shrieked, scrambling backward from his consoles. Two Royal Guards intercepted me. They raised their rifles, but Ashren was faster. The Alpha moved like a shadow cast by the sun. He blurred across the throne room, grabbing the barrels of both plasma rifles with his bare hands. The superheated metal hissed against his palms, but he forced the weapons upward just as they fired, sending the lethal bolts crashing harmlessly into the glass ceiling.

I smirked at my own joke. “That was an awful joke, Harlow,” Joe said over the headset. “Oh, come on, that was funny,” I said in English. “Ready for the next question?” I looked at them both, and they nodded. “Great. What specifically are you looking for before your Alpha attacks?” Brent slurred his words, but started talking before Jason could. “He’sh wanting to shee how many fighters you have, and he wantsh to build his army to beat yoursh.”

The looming confrontation with Lex, the Alpha, casts a shadow over him, and he can't shake the unease that gnaws at him. Arlo, though Lex's Beta, understands the unique dynamics of their pack. Unlike traditional hierarchies, there is no inherent royalty among the leading members. His own ascent to the role of Beta wasn't a result of lineage or predetermined succession—it was a position he had earned through a twist of fate.

I grabbed his wrist and he was hot. "You have to stop. You'll explode." I begged but he didn't listen. He went forward and continued. The Holden bloodline makes you bloodthirsty when you turn evil and it's a path you can never come back from. I wanted to go meet him but before I could get to him, I saw a shiny golden light from him. I began to feel weak. I got stabbed from behind. I fell on my knees and Alpha Jareth continued fighting. "Stop!" I yelled as he turned to look at me. He didn't care. He continued fighting till the light became brighter and brighter and he exploded.

“Alpha Price. What do you know about your Beta?” Alpha Price looked at Denice confused. “My Beta?” Denice nodded and he spoke. “He’s loyal to me. He takes care of the pack when I’m away and helps to train my warriors. Your Majesty, sincerest apologies, but what is this about?” Artemis spoke once again. “Your Beta doesn’t have pure intentions and he never has. Had he not come here, you wouldn’t have known. Isn’t that right Beta? Or should I say ROGUE!”

Shaking my head, I open my eyes and answer him flatly, “Honestly, I don’t know where I was going, but to me it seemed that I was intruding, and I didn’t want to bother you any longer.” “Woman. What on earth are you talking about? She is my beta. One of my second in command. I was merely calming her and assuring her that everything would be alright.” He says in a louder tone than he should have because now everyone is staring at us. When the doctor walks up to us, he pats Alexander on the back and asks quietly, “Is everything alright here, Alpha?”

I say and I turn to face the little followers that came to offer support. "Thank you all for coming, your loyalty will not be forgotten and I promise you, it will be rewarded. We will not be placing you in harm's way... Go home, be with your families and we will fight for you. The rightful alpha will fight for you and he will win." I say. The pack members don't waste time in running back to their homes, leaving me with less fighters. Some refuse to leave, promising to fight alongside the alpha they say they choose to follow.

Nora said out loud. “What?” Matt asked. “Being forced to do things you don't want to do because someone said you should.” Nora said her eyes brow in a frown. “That's why the person who becomes Alpha has to be a good person, they put their pack before everything. The position is scaracred. “ Dante spoke up. “The Beta is second in command. He is the Alpha’s right hand and helps him through everything.” Matt said, shaking Dante’s shoulder. “Then there’s Gamma, which is Wyatt.” Matt said with a smile.

I said strongly “I see, well I would like to have you for dinner then as a thank you for taking care of these rouges here for us. It is at least we can do” Alpha Alex said. I saw his warriors look between each other as we spoke. I didn’t get a bad feeling per say but not a good feeling either. “These are my warriors Kevin, Fred and Sally and this is my beta Al.” Alpha Alex finished
