Before he can go for a kill shot, my Alpha jumps in between us. “What the hell is going on?” my Alpha yells at us. Everyone around us has remained silenced as they watched everything unfold. “He is stealing my mate,” I say under my breath. Alpha Matt looks towards the other Alpha who just fixed his broken nose. “Hardly stealing. I am her chosen mate,” the Alpha responds confidently.

“Feisty and ready to fight. What did you pick her because she is like Ali? You can’t have your mate, so you settle for second best?” I lunge for Marc, my hands fisting in his shirt as I yank him close, a growl so low and loud he bows his head. He may be an acting alpha, but he will never be a blood alpha like me. “I am his mate, dick face. And I take it as a compliment, being so similar to Luna Ali. She is a badass.” Adriana says and my heart sinks. I close my eyes and try to control myself. And Marc catches the change in me.

Ash ask again while looking in Alex eye's. "No" Alex answer with smile. "Are you that scared to my Dad and Allen" Ash tease him which make Alex laugh. "It's not about your Dad and Allen, it's about us. You and me Ash, even they will beat me up, I am sure I can take it. But you, I can't take it if you hate me Ash. She pauses as she watches me. "Two what?" I blurted out. "Or you are his mate" Silence, total silence descends on us as we stare at each other Alice must be crazy. How can I be his mate? I pick a pillow from the bed and I throw it at her. "You are insane Alice did you think this is one of the fictional stories you have been reading cut it off babe I can never be a mate to an alpha I know nothing about them" I stand up from the bed not ready to listen to her stupid talk anymore.

I walked over to Zack and told this girl to get her hands off my mate and she wouldn't listen. "Get your hands off my mate before I kill you, you little slut. He is MINE and doesn't belong to you or anyone else. I suggest you keep your hands to yourself and never come near him again. If you need anything in the future, you come to me and stay away from Alpha Zack." Alexis hissed.

Although Jack’s looks more like a grin. “Hey, I’m the Beta, Jack, so whenever Tristan isn’t around, you’ll listen to me,” the dude says with a wink, to which Tristan growls in response. I have no doubt whatsoever that this pack of misfits is the result of a horrible, shared past, and it gets no better with myself and Alexander in the mix. “Don’t fuck around, bro,” Jean says, raising an eyebrow at the guy, before turning to us again. “I’m Jean. And this is my mate, Petra. She’s a witch.”

Alpha Keith, a sinister figure with a cruel glint in his eyes, had come out of the shadows, looking down at me as I had struggled against my restrains. "She is my mate." I had spat at him, anger fueled by desperation making me growl at him with venom in my eyes. "And I will take her away from here, away from your clutches!" Alpha Keith's cruel laugh had filled the room with an eerie echo, making a shiver run down my spine.

He just stared at me. "Well! There's something I need to tell you," I sighed. I had to tell this to him. This was really important for him to know. "What is it?" He asked. "You know Maya is my mate, right?" I questioned him. "Yes," he nodded. "And an alpha should feel the strongest when he is around his mate?" I questioned him yet again. "Of course," he nodded. "Well! That's not the case for me," I sighed. "What?" He sounded shocked.

James asked after a pause as if contemplating if he put it in the right words not to upset him. “She is,” Kael answered looking out the window. James gasp, his eyes wide open though he suspected it, hearing it confirmed was still shocking. “What are we going to do? The pack won't accept her,” James said, clicking his tongue. “They don't have a choice?” Kael said, involuntary clenching his fist. “But you know, her pack and ours have been in constant war. Bringing her as your mate might threaten your position as the Alpha,” James said, with genuine worry in his eyes.

The air in the room didn't just turn cold this time; it died. Alpha Zade moved so fast I didn't see him cross the floor. One minute, he was at the center of the room and several meters away; the next, his hands were wrapped around Marrok's throat, lifting him from the ground like he weighed nothing. “You speak of laws in my territory?” Zade's voice was barely a whisper, but sharp. “On my lands, the only law is my word.” “She…a wolf-less omega…your mate?” Marrok wheezed. “It can't…she was rejected…by her true mate…a few hours ago!”
