Alpha shifted into his large speckled white wolf and was growling and biting at the wolf as well. Neither bit or scratched the other at first, instead just cautiously sizing each other up. Deven soon lost his patience though, and lunged at the giant wolf. Instantly the Alpha grabbed his neck, trying to force him to submit. Deven bit into the side of Xavier's face as retaliation. The alpha yelped and pulled back, allowing Deven to his feet. The warrior that had been holding me down launched up and shifted into their wolves. My breath caught in my throat when I saw what it was. A white-furred wolf emerged, its glow piercing the darkness. It was like a pup, but slightly bigger. Joy suddenly surged through me, and as I tried to reach out to her, she retreated, her eyes reflecting so much sadness and fear. ”Please come. Please let me touch you,” I pleaded, finally finding my words. She looked reluctant still. ”I’m lost too. We can get out of here together. Just trust me.” I walked closer, and this time she didn’t retreat. Instead, she looked at me curiously, tilting her head as if trying to understand me. To my surprise and joy, she took a step forward.

He turns around and looks at me. “What did you do today?” He asks. “Nothing,” I reply and he gives a half smile that does not touch his tired eyes. “So your name’s Derek?” I ask out of the blues and the way his eyes widen in astonishment tells me I caught him off guard. “Yes,” he says, quickly picking himself up from the shock. “How did you know that?” He asks softly. “The scary wolf with black eyes called you Derek. Is he the Alpha?” “Right, Nate. Uh, he’s not the Alpha. He’s my best friend. One of the strongest werewolves in the territory.”

I heard the voice again. “Who the hell are you and what have you done to me?” “Relax, Rosa. I'm your wolf, and you just went through your first stage of shifting.” “Have you lost your damn mind? I'm a human!” “That's what your parents wanted you to believe, the bracket you lost three months ago while fighting with Thanos was the reason I was sealed, your parents wanted you to believe you're a human that's why I was sealed.” “That doesn't make any sense, why would they seal me away from who I am?”

Surely there couldn't be two books with the exact same title. How many times she'd been told that the legendary book had disappeared some generations back. That book - or the book, as they always emphasized it - was rumored to hold all the details of their pack history, all the genealogy charts of the genealogy and history of her pack. She was well aware it had been lost for years until hints of its reappearance popped up. It was all too much of a coincidence - the mention of this town, Calderwood, and the presence of the author of Wolf in that place, were like beacons leading her on her search. Not to mention the reference to the book.

"Next stop. The Human Empire. Go give them a greeting. Tell them the Mother of All Wolves is bringing her family. To pay a visit." The campfire exploded a single massive spark. It shot straight into the sky, burst above the ice plains into countless fine, dense flecks of gold light. The grey wolf threw its head back and howled. A war howl. The seven Alphas raised their cups, simultaneously. The old Omega pressed her hand over her heart. Tears streamed down her face.

I growl at the wolves. The wolves start backing away as another more enormous wolf comes toward me. He is clicking his tongue and looking at Alaska. He thinks he is in control, but he is not. I will crush him. "Perhaps you were unaware that Alaska and her family owe my family a great debt," the wolf says as he moves closer. I growl, pushing Alaska behind me to protect her. I am the Alpha, and I will kill them all. "I do not care. Alaska is my mate, and I have marked her to be my LUNA!" I growl.

' He snaps. 'War it is!' I say, growling. 'War it is then!' Alpha Zenith yells as he walks back to his warriors. He shifts into an ugly, large, grey wolf. His ear is missing, and he is worn and ragged. I shift into my black wolf and let out a howl, signalling war. In wolf form, my warriors charge toward Alpha Zenith's warriors. I lose sight of him and charge toward the others, attacking us, crashing into them, and biting any area of fur exposed to me.
