I turned to see Alaric standing with his fist clenched and his veins being visible like they were about to pop out of his skin. His eyes were still glued on the man's lifeless body and one could tell he wished he could still kill the man ten thousand times. With tears still running down my eyes and my back still bent on the vanity, I completely broke down and cried more. I had no idea why I was crying even more even though I know nothing is going to happen to me anymore, or perhaps it was just the torture I went through and the way he had touched me and maybe I was glad I was finally saved.

If I were still alive, I would’ve coughed up blood in fury. How dare she?! How could she humiliate my little pup like this? That she-wolf had no shame at all! And he died a Gamma—with his pride shattered.”

Keith's voice was hoarse and broken. It sounded like his vocal cords were tearing apart. "Juliet, get up. Get up and yell at me. "Isn't that what you do best? Didn't you always say I was a jerk?
