Amazonian Sunrise Ritual Novels & Stories

Rylan waited on the other side of the altar, dressed in the Alpha’s traditional robes, his eyes never leaving me. The old shaman guided us to the center of the altar. He raised his hands high. "Tonight, witnessed by both the Sun God and the Moon Goddess, our Alpha Rylan will bond with Rosa as his mate! She will become our Luna!" "Are you sure?" Rylan asked me in a low voice before the ceremony began. "Once this is done, our souls will be linked forever." "I've never been more sure," I smiled. The shaman made a small cut on both our wrists, letting the blood drip into a sacred chalice. He poured the mixed blood into the Sunken Pool.

For the first time, the sun no longer felt symbolic. It was simply a sunrise. A real one. The first sunrise of a future that wasn't predetermined. The first sunrise of a world no longer trapped in repetition. The realization felt strangely ordinary. And somehow that made it beautiful. Arthur approached carefully. “You remembered his name.” Ama nodded. “Yes.” “Will you tell us?” The question lingered. Ama looked toward the horizon. Toward the fading Threshold. Toward the room that had once anchored reality. Then she smiled softly.

Brown was woken up early the next morning by the sound of loud drumming. He got up slowly, still feeling groggy from lack of sleep, and made his way outside the hut. The sight that greeted him was nothing short of breathtaking. The entire tribe had gathered in a circle, dancing and chanting to the beat of the drums. Their bodies swayed in perfect unison, their faces painted in vibrant colors that glistened in the early morning light. Brown couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer energy and passion of the Amazonian warriors.

"Akai uimana luchinu, vae marena taluvan." Derek could feel the blood seeping into his skin, Aurora felt the cold liquid seeping through her clothes and onto her skin. It made her feel uneasy, but she knew that this was an important ritual for her people. As Masai finished the ritual, she raised her hands to the sky and spoke in a loud voice, "May the blood of the wolf protect you, may it strengthen your bond and your love. May your union bring prosperity and peace to our land." The crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Masai handed the calabash back to the children. Magnus stood up and walked over to the couple, his face beaming with pride.

The purpose was to offer prayers to both the Moon Goddess and the revered Dragon Goddess, symbolizing a connection to ancient creatures and seeking their blessings. The arduous task ahead required my commitment for two consecutive days. On the final day, I would ascend to the summit of the formidable Adamantine Volcano, carrying the blood of a sacrificial pig and a selection of fruits as offerings to the deities. This act of reverence and devotion held great significance in the sacred rituals.

MILDRED PURE MONSTROSITY "Let our Luna whirl the revival pool!" One of the elders I now know as Remy announced as we reached a large fountain where the water would be sprinkled on every pack member in the sun just to trap its energy that would sustain us through. The ritual gets completed at night in the moonlight where food and drinks are shared to signify love and abundance. Only then will the goddess revive us all. It was what Chase was able to tell me on our way to the big fountain.

"I'll see you at the ceremony. Remember who you are, all of who you are." As he left, Luna Mara entered with her attendants, carrying ceremonial robes and vessels of scented water. "The ritual bath must begin now," she explained. "To cleanse body and spirit before standing beneath the Tree." The morning passed in a blur of ancient traditions. The ceremonial bath is infused with herbs and moonberry essence. The ritual braiding of my hair, incorporating moonflowers and silver threads. The traditional robes, surprisingly comfortable despite their formal appearance, were designed to honour both my Graystone heritage and my new connection to the Diamond pack.

All the other members sat surrounding the trio and joined for the puja. Abhimanyu and Siya started the Namkaran ritual with pranayama, prayers, and mantra chanting in the presence of the family priest. The priest performed the ritual with prayers to the Gods, Agni, the god of fire, the elements, and the spirits of the ancestors.

"Wonderful. Is there anything else you need to be comfortable? Additional towels, sunscreen, perhaps some of our local seafood specialties?" "We're good for now, thanks," Carson said. "Though I'm curious about the water ceremonies tomorrow. What should we expect?" "The Dawn Tide Blessing is beautiful, we wade into the surf at sunrise and offer gratitude to the Moon Goddess for her connection to the ocean's tides. Very spiritual." Marina's expression grew more serious. "Fair warning though, it does require getting wet. Ceremonial robes are provided, but you'll want to wear something comfortable underneath." "Noted. What about the Coral Circle?"

I was pleased to see Hycinth eat more than I expected but her edginess showed through more and more, eyes flickering back and forth to her Wolf's. We washed our meal down with mild spicebush tea made from passionflower fruit and 'black drink,' a yaupon holly tea restricted to purification rituals. Hycinth eagerly accepted the spicebush tea, but declined more than a sip or two of the black drink, wrinkling her nose at the taste. Once we finished, we each reclined on our own beds again for the last step in the ritual, a process I'd done before but wasn't particularly fond of— genital waxing or Brazilian wax, as it was better known.
