Aku sedang hamil empat bulan, tetapi suamiku yang seorang dokter membatalkan janjinya sebanyak 16 kali untuk kami mengurus surat nikah. Pertama kali, perawat kecilnya pingsan karena melihat darah saat operasi. Aku menunggunya seharian di depan Kantor Catatan Sipil. Kedua kalinya, begitu perawat kecilnya menelepon, dia meninggalkanku di jembatan layang, hanya untuk membelikan pembalut untuk si perawat kecil.
