Margaret scolded, eyeing Rebecca. The outsider, in her words, was clearly Rebecca. Denise smirked. "Yeah, so you should leave." Margaret froze. "What do you mean?" "You said not to talk to outsiders. So, why are you here? Go ahead and leave." Denise gestured. "What the hell?" Margaret pointed at herself, furious. "You're calling me an outsider?" Denise waved it off. "Who else? Your last name isn't Schroeder. You have nothing to do with us."

“I’m rotting in here.” “You have everything you need. We even renovated the courtyard to give you—” “An illusion.” My voice slices across hers. “An outside illusion. You still don’t get it.” Her shoulders sag. She exhales heavily and stands, as though my words physically weigh her down. “Your doctor says you’re getting better.” “I want to go outside.” She stills. Hesitates. “You know that’s not possible. If someone sees you, it’ll cause a ruckus.”

The member list in the channel was painfully clear, showing only four avatars: my father, my mother, my brother, and Bella. My brother, Enzo, replied a moment later, "Just the four of us. Don't call Aurora." "If she comes, she'll just find another excuse to bully Bella." I stared at the words, frozen. It dawned on me then. In this family, I had been the outsider all along. ... The other omegas would be cleaning, laughing, gossiping, their world spinning in a rhythm I no longer fit. A light knock snapped me from my thoughts, but when I waited, breath held, no one entered. I opened my car door, placed all the items I had bought in it and made sure to keep my space to sit but I decided to not leave at the moment. "Please drive it home, I'll get back on time." I instructed the driver who was out of the car and talking with a lady, probably his wife or his girlfriend while leering at another lady passing by, and he immediately flinched at my presence like I was going to eat him and he entered the car. He immediately drove off and I sighed once again, glancing around to locate a way to stroll to. I staggered to the street and started appreciating the alluring view. I hadn't noticed the beautiful view of nature that swept these places since we had been living here.
