I walked toward the door and stepped out into the corridor, closing it behind me with silence.
The hallway was dimly lit, the torches mounted along the stone walls burning low.
Wade was waiting exactly where I knew he would be, in the darkest stretch of the hallway. When I approached and stopped in front of him, he immediately lowered his head in a deep bow.
“Alpha Villion,” he began formally. "The Salvator’s pack is victorious. They have won the war.”
"Were any of the alphas killed?” I asked.
“No, Alpha Villion,” he answered without hesitation. “There were injuries, but none of the alphas died.”
