Amanda sighs as Andrew just stands there. He felt his tongue was tied, not to talk of the little relief he had while Caleb left. I was scrolling through my contacts when I saw her name. “Geneviv.” I hadn’t thought about her in a long time, not since our brief exchange at the hospital. She was Aaron’s sister, and while our interactions had always been polite but distant, she might just be the key I was looking for. I hit “call” without thinking, and the phone rang for longer than I anticipated. The uncertainty clawed at me, but then her voice, soft but firm, came through.

He takes a glass and drinks. “You’re thirty-seven, when are you going to take your life seriously?” Sadie asks, blowing a breath. “I am a doctor, I believe I am taking my life seriously.” Andrew replies, looking smug as if he just won a prize. “What about Samantha?” Sadie asks and Andrew groans while muttering ‘Not again, mom’ under his breath but typical Sofia continues to talk. “It’s not a bad idea, the Roberts are extremely close with the Morris, Arya and Emma are best-friends, Sabrina is dating their younger brother, Collins, and Sam is also a doctor. I feel like you two would click so well if you gave each other a chance.”

Silas soon realized that his assistant hadn't started the car, so he turned his gaze to him. “Why aren't you driving?” Silas mind-linked Andrew as if he was too lazy to speak. Hearing his boss's voice, Andrew turned to face him. “Something came up, Sir,” Andrew said to Silas. “What's the matter?” Silas inquired, silently annoyed by why they weren't moving yet. “Today is your sister's birthday. You must have forgotten about that, sir,” Andrew stated as he lowered his head to avoid eye contact with Silas.

Natalie giggled,"I do like to surprise people" Andrew swallowed hard. That was not the plan. "Okay then. Let's get to work" he said with a smile. "Sit, I should be finished in a few hours" Natalie sat comfortably, again spreading her legs to the best of its limits. Andrew could really see everything. Natalie had her center facing him. Her breast lying comfortably on her chest, staring at him, standing, waiting for his touch. Andrew ignored them.. She was his lover's step sister. "Get yourself together, man. That is a bad idea" he whispered underneath his breath.

"You're lying! She's not dead! You're all quacks!" The doctors and nurses exchanged a look and backed away. There was no reasoning with him. A crowd had gathered. Someone recognized me. "Hey—isn't that the crazy mom from the livestream? The one who tried to drown her own daughter?" "Wait, yeah! That's her!" "Good riddance. Women like that don't deserve to breathe." Harvey clutched my body tighter. All the color drained from his face. He screamed at the crowd. "SHUT UP! She's not like that!"

Ada asked with a look of surprise on her face. “Yes, he has a degree in Digital Media production and not only that, he is an experienced videographer. I'm sure he can help you shoot your contents for the meantime, right Andrew?” Andrew who was taken aback by how fast this was going couldn't help but nod his head. Why was his sister setting him up with her friend? “Wow, that is beautiful. If I didn't know better, I would say you came back for me.” Ada joked and laughed. Andrew joined her to laugh but with nervousness in his tone. This was not going to bed well.

At first, the name doesn’t ring a fucking bell, but then it registers. “You’ve got to be kidding me, Gabe,” I stared at him in shock. “As in Harper Beckett? Andrew’s little sister?” He doesn’t say anything. He simply nods his head. Shit! Personally, I don’t know Harper that much. She was a quiet girl, with very few friends and was socially awkward. In a way, she reminded me of Ava back when we were younger. I wonder how they never became friends. Shaking my head, I banish those thoughts and focus on Gabe.

And for the first time since it all happened, everything truly began to sink in. My miserable life. Andrew and my sister. My father. All the painful memories that refused to leave. I began to put all the boxes together, trying to figure out how Elowen and Andrew became a thing.
