She stood at the corner, arms folded, smile sharp as a glass ornament. Jace straightened instantly. I stepped back so fast I nearly tripped. Bianca’s gaze flicked between us — my swollen lips, his disheveled hair, the distance that wasn’t nearly enough. Her smile widened slowly. “Oh,” she said lightly. “This is going to be… fun.” And just like that… I knew: Christmas was about to get a whole lot worse.

It was the first snowfall. Regan broke the kiss and looked into Angela's beady eyes. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Regan asked, and at that moment, Angela nodded her head. "I want to." "Good!" Regan exclaimed, kissing Angela's forehead and the tip of her nose. "Be an obedient little cat." "Snow?" Angela exclaimed when she saw something hit her. He tilted his head toward the sky. "The first snowfall," said Angela. "And you are mine!" Regan exclaimed, picking Angela's lips back up. This time, Angela's arms wrapped around Regan's neck. This time, he will open his heart to Regan and not hold it back anymore.

Angel really wished her grandmother could understand that all she had to give them was unconditional love and understanding. It was the first real Christmas she’d ever had, and she’d got to spend it with all the people she cared about, to her that made it a perfect Christmas. After all the presents were opened and the wrappings had been cleared away and everything placed where it belonged, everyone slowly went about their business and returned to their own homes. She had loved the fact Angelo had been present, that he’d taken the time to prepare the meal. It had added that extra personal touch.

Before I could open the passenger seat for her, she had already done it herself. I turned on the engine and steered the car onto the road. The cloud was already getting darker, but fortunately the Christmas lights illuminating the streets made it brighter. Snowflakes were falling in tiny particles. I averted my eyes from the windshield a bit to Nelly; her face was a bit creased as she stared intensely at a message that obviously was unread. "Why the worried face on Christmas night?" I asked, feeling very concerned. She looked to my side with her innocent eyes, shit.

“This is the best Christmas ever. I got just what I wanted. A puppy. A fairy house.
