I tilted my head towards the entrance to see Angel leaning against the wall. “Oh, please don’t stop on my account. Angel ignored her, standing in front of me, chin raised high. “It will never work…whatever you do for him, Princess Lana. He will never fall in love with you.”

But I gritted my teeth, restraining the demon beating against my chest, begging to be released. “God damn, angel,” I snarled against her mouth. “You ever been touched like this before?” Jealously clouded my judgement and a possessive rage took over at the thought of someone else touching her this way. I say softly, seeing the deep worry hiding in his eyes. He places his other hand over top mine, and a small moan leaves my lips at the coolness. "It's working!" I exclaim happily, but he only frowns. I watch as he backs away from me before he shuts his eyes and holds his hands out. A yellowish-orange colored mist like magic leaves his hands and covers my body but I feel nothing.

His voice trails off, his breathing evening out slowly. I swallow past the lump in my throat, smiling with tears in my eyes. Leave it to Azren to drop a bomb and snooze. I lower my gaze to try and catch a glimpse of his face, but his messy mop of hair makes that impossible. So I just keep running my fingers through his hair to soothe his pain. I reach for my phone from the nightstand, sliding it open and going straight to my notes app. Then I start typing the details for my next story. I've kept my readers waiting for too long. This time, I'll write about the unhinged Tribrid and his angel.

There is a wide grin on her face as she looks between us. My eyebrow quirks up. "Uh, I think we might need an explanation for that one," I say slowly, glancing over to see Daniel just as confused. "Hybrids are more powerful than normal angels, right? So, we break them out of rehab and have them help us take down the Council!" Daniel lets out an incredulous snort. "Are you insane? Do you remember how high security was there?" "Yes, but I have also seen the strength of your pack. Plus, Ana is probably one of the most powerful angels in the world now that she's got her wings back.

Aana said with a big smile on her face. "What?" Alice almost yelled in her mind. "Aah... Why are you yelling?" Aana whined holding her head. "Aaron is the one because of whom your love story started?" Alice asked in shock. Aana nodded her head meekly. "I can't believe this... Our mate is the biggest enemy in our love story" Alice mumbled, wanting to hit his head on an imaginary wall. "No.. he was an angel in my and Vince's love story" Aana said. Alice was fuming in anger but controlled her emotion to hear how this magic happened.

"Yeah." Angeline nodded and looked at her phone. Rafael's smile slowly faded, and his expression became desolate when he saw she hadn't taken the coffee he was holding out. "Ma'am—Ms. Lawson, don't tell me you think my brother's orchestrated this. "Ms. Lara was slandering him! Fabian and Grace are genuinely in love with each other. He had no idea who she was when they got together!" Angeline wasn't interested in listening to him talk about Fabian and Grace's love story. Just then, she noticed that the operating theater's doors had opened.
