A year later Sitting on a couch in the living room, I flipped through the photo album on my lap. They were photos from our wedding. Staring at them and seeing the smiles on our faces had me reminiscing. "Mwommy, ish this dhaddy and uncle Vah?". Angel who was sitting beside me on the couch asked. She is now two years old and looks like a bundle of sunshine. "Yes baby". I answered as she grabbed onto my arm, staring at the photo with a little cute frown on her face.

I crouched down, trying to process this unexpected intrusion into an already complicated day. The little boy's bright eyes shone with innocent recognition, as if we'd met many times before.
