Lucas couldn’t make any sense of what he just read. He has heard the word ‘ALPHA’ before but that’s definitely from his parish priest when he preaches Sunday Homily. He could remember when his parish priest could describe GOD as the ALPHA which means the ‘Beginning.’ For some moments he pondered to himself if actually what he read meant he will be the next GOD. ‘This might be from GOD,’ he thought to himself. That wouldn’t make sense as GOD won’t send a letter to him telling him he is the next ALPHA.

The only silhouette of moving people, hills, palm trees, and huts scattered about were to be seen, then did the chief priest come back. "Bring the baby prince here. Remove the wrapper from his head." With counted words, and holding a palm kernel bunch in his right hand, the chief priest demanded. I’ll skip the rest ‘cause I don’t need them, and I’ll go to the end. T

Kai was motioning for him to choose someone with real power - a God or at least an alpha. Gearry shook his head. He turned to the largest Alpha - a Bear Alpha who had a slave girl in tow. As the Lord Alpha rose, there was a thick blanket of silence covering the occupants of the hall.

“Now that I’ve chosen you, it’s time for a proper introduction. My name is Brandon. It’s charming to meet you.” It’s the first time I’ve ever heard his name. He’s only referred to as the Alpha among our pack. It’s just another one of his games he plays to keep us all intimidated. I can’t believe I have to go with him and the awful friends he keeps around him. The thought of joining his pack repulses me. We’ve always tried to be cordial with them, but everyone knows they’re our enemies. They rule through fear and we just pray we don’t get destroyed by their anger.

“She’s Angel.” The room stilled. Angel. The word seemed to hover in the air, sinking into every heart. It felt right. More than right—it was perfect. She was their miracle, their savior in the darkest storm. Alisia’s lips trembled as she whispered it aloud. “Angel…” Her hand pressed over her chest. “Yes. She’s our Angel.” Xavier’s eyes softened, the sharp edges of his soul melting away. He placed his hand over Alisia’s, his voice steady and proud. “Angel Knight.” His gaze swept across the room. “Our little bundle of joy.”
