I sprang up immediately, realizing this wasn’t my home nor anywhere I was familiar with. Then, a little girl ran into the room. Angel. The same girl I had saved last night. My confusion only deepened. Why was I here with her again? A man in a wheelchair wheeled himself in. I had seen him yesterday, though I couldn’t recall exactly when. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” I blurted quickly as he explained how he had found me and brought me here. I hurried to put on my shoes, ready to leave. But then Angel tugged at my hand. She held up her tablet. On it, words appeared:

Once, Angel had followed a little boy to check out a hurt stray dog, and Tony had lost sight of him for just a few minutes. He got distracted with the old people in the village, asking him to do this and that. When he found Angel, he looked pale. Breathing like he’d run for miles. He’d pulled Angel into his arms and held him while cursing the village people like some mad man.

Zane asked, irritated to have been called down for a simple debt collection. “You can say that,” Jax said, he looked serious. Another shriek sounded from within the counting room and Zane had had enough. He walked over, unlocked the door and pushed it open. By nothing but sheer luck the stapler that came flying missed his head and hit the door frame. Zane’s eyes followed it as it fell to the floor with a second crash. He looked up and saw an angel. It took him a moment to realise it wasn’t an angel, but a scared and crying woman.

Me: Thank you for learning me. His response came less than a minute later. Angel: Always. Another message. Angel: And I plan on learning a lot more. I smiled. Me: Goodnight, Angel. Angel: Goodnight, kitten. For once, I fell asleep without wondering which woman my husband loved more. Because I was beginning to understand what it felt like to be valued by someone else. ___ Saturday was fucking magical. “WE'RE TRENDING IN FOURTEEN COUNTRIES!” I burst out laughing as Clara practically screamed backstage.

I didn't even get an apology, though now it didn't really bother me. Right now, I lay on my belly on my bed, turning the pages of my angel book carefully. I'd just gotten it in the mail, and I wanted to leave it in the same condition as I bought it. I can feel Tammy staring at my back, doing the nervous foot tapping thing she does when she gets nervous. Tammy thought I should see a therapist once I was okay enough to not have the bandage on my head. My sudden interest in angels made her a bit fearful, as she thought I had momentarily died, and saw angels.

I see why The Angels would want to leave from here. "Goddess you look beautiful!" A deep voice says from behind me. I whirl around almost loosing my footing. Strong hands grip my waist and pull me from the ledge to make sure I don't fall. Warmth radiates from where our skin touches. I look up and into familiar eyes, eyes I will never be able to forget. I immediately pull out of the embrace.

I whispered as I feel backwards taking Mia with me. My elbows hit something hard causing me to wince a little. I looked over and thanked the God creators. Mia's hold on me had loosened from the unexpected fall giving me the opportunity to crawl as far away from her. I never let her or the book of secrets that was now glowing on the ground out of my sight as I quickly crawled back words. The fear that I tried so hard to hide was shining as bright as the book in front of me. "You know you have been causing us a lot of problems." A soft voice said from behind me. I stiffened as Angels foot steps crunched with every step she took.

"Hey, stop being a baby." My eyes widened when instead of falling right into the grass, I fell into Mister Serenade's arms instead. So basically he caught me, and who knows when and where he appeared this suddenly. "That's not the Naenia who slapped me with a hardbound dictionary the other 3 AM." He chuckled but I couldn't even move my fingers anymore. I'm literally a dead plant and he's carrying me like a fucking bride! Damn this shit. I'm helpless and I hate this. "I-I'm still going to write you a book, right?" Great. Of all the things that my trembling lips could ask, I really chose those phrases, huh?

When Koda and Layla left, we walked them outside and Layla introduced us to the two angels who would be watching over our house. Kemuel and Ramiel are both very handsome angels, and they look like fierce warriors. I’m glad to have them guarding the house. Now I don’t have to sleep with one eye open.

But as we stopped someone caught me from behind. "Leave me.... leave me." I was screaming on the guard as he was dragging me back to the mansion. The last thing I saw was that Mrs. Dawne was looking at me with hope in her eyes. What kind of person am I? I was not even able to save her. I was screaming all the way. They brought me to hell again. "So angel, you ran away." I could see extreme anger in his eyes. His eyes told me that he was about to break something.
