A hand reaches for me and pulls me towards her. “It’s time for you to die!” She reaches up and grab a bolt of lightning and tries to stab me with it, but her hands stop before it can pierce me. Her hair and eyes change back to normal.

“Oh, come on! I don’t want to be a third wheel here.” I smirked. “Minerva’s here. You don’t have to be.” Raven chuckled darkly, still chewing. Colton shot Minerva a look. She sneered. “You’re just jealous everyone here is taken,” Dane teased. “So, Minerva,” I pressed, “do you have a boyfriend?” “Of course,” she said smoothly. Raven nudged a fork toward my lips. “Try this.” I chewed slowly, considering. “What is it?” “Venison.”

Massimo greeted him as they rolled into the meeting room. Massimo and Matteo walked over to them to kiss them—one on each cheek and a peck on Ariana’s right hand. “I’m sure your beautiful wife has everything to do with it,” Matteo said as he stared into Ariana’s eyes with a faint smile. “You look as lovely as always, Ariana.
