Her jaw snapped shut. I would take the first shift for her if that meant that she could get some sleep. Aisha was standing, facing me like someone drenched off her soul. At once, she charged at me, wanting to strangle me. She tightened her grip on my neck like my life didn't matter to her anymore. “Why won't you die?” Her voice hoarsed, sounding heavier than normal. I pressed my claws into her shoulders, trying to get free from her attack. Her eyes were pitch black, exactly like that of the witch girls. Damn! Aisha has been posessed. Blood dropped from her shoulders, her grip on my neck weakened. I let out a cough as I could finally inhale oxygen.

Aisha’s smirk falters, “you wouldn’t dare.” “You want to try me?” Isla asks. “Then go ahead. I’d love to watch you explain why you jumped a first year who’s already on the Games list.” For a moment Aisha looks like she might try something. Then her jaw twitches and she snaps her fingers at her group. “Whatever. This isn’t over, human.” She shoves past me harder than necessary and stalks off with the others behind her. Isla exhales, her shoulders dropping. Then she looks at me.

Soriah explained. Aisha cupped her chin contemplating the message given to the queen while Yuuno used her spirit arts to heal Soriah’s spirit as the damage that she received from the monster drained her stamina. Before her sister could say anything Aisha had an epiphany as she pieced together the clues and rushed out of the queen’s private room and towards the castle’s main entrance.
