The First Luna
If I avoided looking, it felt like they were just away on a long march and hadn't come back yet—not names cut into cold stone.
I took a slow breath, trying to calm the ache in my chest. When my eyes moved, I saw a small charm resting on the velvet near Kaelen's hand. It looked strangely familiar.
"What's that?"
It was an old leather charm, braided and worn. In the middle was a small, polished slice of hemlock wood.
The edges were smooth from years of handling. Faint scratch marks covered the surface, copying the Silvermoon Pack's guardian totem, but the lines were stiff and uneven, like they were carved by someone young.
