If André was anywhere in the house, it definitely had to be his study. I was about to leave, but suddenly, an idea came to mind, and I decided to look through the books there for any answers to the symptoms that I was having. I walked amongst the tall shelves, checking the spine of each book for available information about werewolf pregnancies. I passed five tall shelves and could only find three books. I flipped through them, but none of the information there helped me. I was on the end of the sixth shelf when I saw a reference. “For books on werewolf pregnancies, please see shelf seven, row two, section eight.”

Did she have ancestors from there several generations back that she just didn't know about? And most of all, what did any of it have to do with the very strange book she'd found, Legends of the Werewolf. The binding was ancient leather, now frayed in many places, and the lettering in gold. The other night when she finally opened it she expected to read about the history of werewolves and how that history came to be. Instead, to her shock, the stories were about shapeshifters, people who could change into the shape of a wolf. Whole villages apparently had that ability and when danger presented itself they shifted into their wolf shape, gathered as a pack and disappeared.

It was old and had a picture of a wolf on the cover. "Earlier today when Stephen, Steven, and I went to interrogate Karen about where My fa... I mean. Gary is, she told us that he gave her a book to hide. Karen said she overheard Monica and him talking about needing to convince me to join their side for something because the book was supposed to be passed down to me on my eighteenth birthday," Gwen said and handed me the book. I opened it and began turning the pages. It talked about special werewolves.

For those who have not read the first part here is the plot. Alice is the Alpha's daughter of Jade moon pack. When she was 9 her father was killed in the werewolf war. Her mother died of the grief of losing her mate. Her brother Rick who was 17 took over the pack as an Alpha. Due to her trauma and Rick being too young to protect her and manage the pack, she was sent away with her eccentric aunt who is a keeper. A human who can see supernatural beings and they are aware of the werewolves. Alice lived in different parts of the world and finally settled in London. She is more comfortable with her human side and doesn't want to return to the pack life or find her mate.

They also sent invitations to the Alpha, Luna from the Midnight Moon—which is the pack Leandre’s going to inherit soon. “Wait for me here, Nikki. I’ll help Valerie out with the supplies from the packhouse. Here… you can read this while waiting for us. It’s the myth on how werewolves were created.” He places a white leather-bound book in front of me. I take the book and lean my back on the chair. The pages of the book are worn out and there were scribbles of names written at the back. Year. Alpha. Luna. Beta. Beta Female.

Kiara: “Don’t worry darling, no one will know of this conversation” I told the old woman as I left her house, it was one of the many houses that were afraid of King Ned, the werewolf king, finding out about our conversation with them, I couldn’t blame them, the last time the king found out about his people seeking for his son’s help, they paid the price with their lives, or their loved ones lives, they didn’t want to go through that pain again, and I couldn’t force them to, but they needed help, and us knowing what they needed was the only way we could provide it.

Ruth ended the call and left Alex and Lee with an astounded expression. “Oh God.” Their minds were about to melt down. Werewolves, vampires, witches—were all real. Alex was reminded of a book he read at Books and Artifact where he works. “Lee, I found a book at Books and Artifact that was about supernatural creatures. I think the name of the book was, um, Wars, Wood Battles, um, I can’t remember.” “You mean The Wood War by Kayla Nicky Chadson?” Ha! The boy jolted in shock as he heard the voice of Abigail behind them. They stared at each other, confused about what to say.
