To my surprise, Richard accepted everything about me and soon we fell head over heels for each other. One morning, as I lay beside Richard, I felt a sharp pain in my waist. Before I could even alert him, I went into full labor. The pain was excruciating, and I knew something was wrong. Richard jumped into action, running frantically from one neighbor to the other to get help. Thankfully, one of his neighbors, Alice, came to our aid and rushed us to the hospital. Alice was also a werewolf, a member of the same pack Richard was in, she was a close friend of Richard so she didn't reveal to the others that I was a rogue werewolf.

Only the small hearth of a crackling fire, five men and two women around her broke the view of swirling white. “White meadow.” she murmured and rubbed her arms. It was very cold. “Belated happy birthday.” his lilting voice startled her. She turned to her heel and found him towering over her. Her cheeks pinked. “Thank you.” she said with a faint smile. It was the first time someone had acknowledged her nineteenth birthday. Three days back, she was supposed to be married to Raul. Instead she's standing in front of a werewolf, and an inhumanly handsome one at that. From the corner of her eye she found Starlight and Darla watching them.

Deciding to study so my grades don't completely tank, but when I look at my nightstand, I frown. There are many stacks of magazines that I recognize as Ashley's, but one question lingers in my mind: Why are all those books about seducing man-wolves? "There's even a book about how to be a she-wolf who is attractive and arousing to an Alpha… Is she a werewolf fan? But why did she—" I pause mid-sentence as the neighbor’s window opens. I notice that it's opened by a girl wearing glasses, but what catches my attention is the guy sitting on the long sofa: It's Nicholas!

That was the reason Aria sprinted off to her forever hideout place, the library. She felt comfortable here. With no fear of being caught or glared at in the dim and silent room, she heaved in relief. She hankered after the smell of new and old books. This was her place. A calm room with lots and lots of stories. Taking a seat in the farthest corner of the room, she selected a random book titled Werewolf and Vows. The title was strange, but as Aria opened the hardcover, she noticed a sketch. It was incomprehensible, but she saw a woman in the arms of a werewolf. It didn't look romantic, but as she started reading it, she realized the book was about a werewolf and his mate. A chosen mate.

Ruth's POV: As we celebrated our victory over Arden, a mysterious person emerged from the shadows. Dressed in long, flowing robes, with eyes that seemed to hold ancient wisdom, she introduced herself as Ariana. "I've been waiting for you, Ruth," Ariana said, her voice low and mystical. "You're more than just a powerful werewolf. You're the key to unlocking an ancient prophecy." Ariana handed me a worn, leather-bound book. The cover was adorned with strange symbols that seemed to shimmer in the light.

However standing in front of her, A friend, a beta werewolf who seems to recognize her and refuses to attack, instead he runs away. "How long can you keep that act up!" She raised her blade and swung at a nearby tree shattered it and sending the chunks flying towards Jason again. (Oh come on! I've had it!) the wolf vexed and stops in his tracks only to then lunge at the red haired girl. "Finally showing your true colors!" Clara said as she took her stance however. 'Chomp!' the wolf grabs a large tree branch mid air and swings it at Clara surprising her. (He's using weapons?! But a wolf can't!) She bit down hard as she's flung aside.

Rowan left before Iris could see him. Iris sat up and looked around. The air stank of blood and the bank was carpeted with dead bodies. Iris felt nauseous and and finally threw up. "Tell me I was dreaming" She looked at her best friend who looked at Japh. Japh shook his head. "You were…he was…" Iris pointed and touched her forehead. "Breathe" "Werewolves don't exist, right?" It was written by a woman in Australia who claimed to have been in contact with a pack of werewolves who’d allowed her to study them. I remembered how a good deal of it had sounded so farfetched that I’d closed the book with disdain. Now, after having dealt with and dissected one of those vile creatures, I re-read the pages with more interest and a far more opened mind. After leaning against my desk and reading a few more pages, I decided to pick up the rest of the mess that was caused by Max and my little sex tryst and then take the book upstairs with me.
