Anthony Bourdain's Favorite Books Mga Nobela at Kwento

I sighed in relief, forgetting the book was still in my hand until Anthony spoke. “Into history?” “Hm..” I turned, “not really. You?” “Not really.” He dropped the tray of two glasses and a bowl of fruit. “What are you doing there?” “I uh.. it was just so neat and colourful. I appreciated the order. I’m more attracted to art than books.” “That’s cute.” he smiled. The comment sickened me but I smiled back. “Who reads all these?” I asked, placing the book back. He shrugged, “my dad.” Then he sat.

The lean muscles on his arms can be traced against the beautifully stitched and possibly hand-made suit. "Someone looks extra delicious." Lissa noted, looking at Anthony from head to toe for the nth time. "What's with the look?" Anthony gave Lissa a pleased smile, and looked like he was genuinely flattered by Lissa's predatory like compliments. "I'll tell you later." Was his reply as he continued to walk towards her, his hands sliding down his pocket to grab his car keys. "Let's eat first... I'm starving." ========================== They drove to the nearest fast food chain which was DFC --- one of the best places for fried chicken, one of Anthony's favorite chains. And as he says, it's Deli

"You've read it?" “Not just yet.” However, I have it on my list. At her look, he shrugged. "What? Are chefs incapable of reading literary fiction? "I just didn't expect..." Embarrassed, she trailed off. "That I'd know who Kazuo Ishiguro is?" He smiled without offense. "I may not have a literature degree, but I do read more than cookbooks." Grace's cheeks were heated. "I apologize. I was being presumptuous. "Forgiven." He picked up their plates. "I should get ready for work."

I think for a moment, “I don’t think I have one. There is a small café that Kendra and I frequent because it is conveniently located near her workplace. I don’t eat out much.” “You read a lot. What is your favorite book?” Max asked. I shrug, “It depends on my mood. We didn’t have television growing up, so I read a lot. I don’t think I have a favorite book. But my favorite genre is historical romance.” “Oh, you like things about knights and kings?” Max inquires. I feel slightly embarrassed, “No, some of my favorites are about someone who goes back in time, and they have to adjust. Most go with a poor farm boy.”

Sandy’s POV “How is it?” Anthony asked as he cut into his piece of steak. I moaned. “So delicious… This has to be the best food I’ve ever eaten at one of these rich people's restaurants. They know how to season well, which is shocking because all the other restaurants you’ve taken me to claim their chefs are great, but the food tastes so bland it could make your stomach go to war.”

"From 2019. Have you read it?" "Twice," I said. "The chapter on laminated dough is the best thing written on the subject." He put it back. Pulled out another. We were standing side by side in the food writing aisle of the Court Street bookstore, two people who had been going to this particular store for years doing the Saturday morning thing, and it was unremarkable in all the ways that mattered and entirely remarkable in the ones that didn't. "What have you been reading?" I said. "Novels mostly," he said. "I went through a long period of only reading work-adjacent things and I'm trying to correct it."

… That evening, Cliftoon walked into the yard carrying a paper bag. I was sitting at the stone table, peeling the crawfish. Tyler nudged a small dish of dipping sauce toward me. "Try this one first. It's not too spicy." Clifton stopped in his tracks. The air was filled with the aroma of spicy Cajun seafood. He remembered this was my favorite food. It was just that he never once allowed it onto our table. He set the paper bag on the table and said in a strained voice, "Heidi, this is that out-of-print art book you once saw at the foreign language bookstore. I got someone to track it down."

"Anything is fine, Dennis never cared what my favorite food was anyways, I ate whatever he asked me to” He lowered the phone and looked at me. "Genevieve." "Hmm?" "Everyone has a favorite food, Not what Dennis approved. What do you actually love to eat?” The question sat there so simply and somehow completely undid me because nobody had asked me that in so long I genuinely had to think about it. "Chicken and waffles," I said finally, almost shyly. "With extra hot sauce. And mac and cheese on the side” "Now that," he said, already pulling up the room service menu, "is a woman who knows exactly what she wants." He scrolled quickly. "They have it. They also have short ribs and I have been think

“Then they should have done a better job of raising him.” The school closes earlier since it is exam week, and after getting home, I get myself prepared and ready for my shift at the library. I gather the books of the subjects I'd be writing tomorrow into my bags before exiting the house. . . During the rest hours at work, I focused on studying my books, Anthony however had other plans and wouldn't stop interrupting me with his so-called newest discovery. He tried to gain my interest with the book Dining With the Moon Goddess in which he spoke about mystical creatures she had created for the betterment of her creation, but I shut it down as fast as it began.

"Any favorites?" Scott joined her by the bookshelf, scanning the titles. "Oh, there are so many. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy genres the most. Some of my favorites include 'Dune' by Frank Herbert, 'Ender's Game' by Orson Scott Card, and 'Harry Potter' series by J.K. Rowling. But I'm always open to discovering new books too." Fiona nodded, impressed by Scott's literary tastes. She herself was an avid reader and appreciated finding common ground with him.
