Anthony Bourdain's Favorite Books Mga Nobela at Kwento

he muttered as he sipped his coffee. "Which is?" "Black. I love black, it's my favourite." He said and dropped the coffee on the table. "Wow," she said, now understanding why he wasn't stunned. "Favourite food?" "I don't have one, because I'm quite picky." He replied. "Books or movies?" He asked. "Books, of course! Books are way better than movies!" "Nah, that's a blatant lie." He countered. Autumn scoffed. "Really? Like, do you even hear yourself? Books are far better."

Anthony was going to hire a driver, but Shanon refused because she was still able to drive herself around the city center. "Hi, honey." Anthony raised his head. He smiled at his wife and kissed her lips gently. "What's for lunch today?" Shanon shook her stacked lunch box in front of Anthony. She smiled and put the tupperware on the table. “Your favorite food. Fish and chips with mushroom sauce.” "Perfect. And lemons?” “Right. And some lemon slices. Are you busy?" Many papers were scattered on the table. Anthony tidied up the papers and stacked them on top of a black folder.

'Grand dinners were one of the important shows of affection.' That line of the book still stuck to him. It was an embarrassing thing that he had gone to the library to pick out a book titled 'Ways of the Heart' after a very calculative search. It had been a turtore to read the book but he put himself under that turtore anyways. He had read the whole book and assimilated it all. 280 pages that it was. A grand dinner was one of the unmistakable options the book had suggested, and he had prepared all that.

“Thank you. What’s your favorite Shakespeare book??” “Hamlet,” he said without hesitation. “It’s messy and dramatic and everyone’s a little unhinged. It’s raw, I read it almost every year.” “That explains a lot,” I teased. “And yours?” he asked. “Pride and Prejudice,” I admitted. “I like characters who pretend they don’t feel things.” His gaze lingered on me for a second longer. “Yeah,” he said, twirling his noodles. “I figured.” For a moment, the noise of the restaurant faded. It was just us sharing smiles, comfortable silence, the kind that didn’t demand to be filled with words or noise.

Just give me something you think I'd love! She laughed. "I nearly did that. I don't know how they expect me to pick just one meal from over a hundred meals. They should have different menu cards and section it so they don't get people like me confused," "I totally get you. So what did you pick?" I asked. "Chicken soup and Bolognese sauce and pasta," "Too simple. You don't want the complication of seafood and caviar," "Is that what you picked?" I nodded. "I enjoy sea meals a lot. Caviar is my absolute best,"

I stopped at the library door and smiled to myself. ‘Books are better than people. Books don’t hate on you for something you didn’t do.’ I pushed the door open and breathed in the wonderful smell of books. ‘Paradise.’ I strolled to the shelves and scanned through the books, reading their names off their spines. ‘It seems Dante wasn’t joking when he said half of his library was filled horrors.’ A book caught my eye, and I pulled it from the others. “Bone and Souls by B. Brian.” I read the name aloud and skimmed through the description behind it. “This seems interesting.”

"Sorry. It's just so good." "I'd be disappointed in Pierre had he not elicited that reaction from you." "Pierre cooked this?" Anthony simply nods as he takes a bite of his own. "Does he cook for everyone?" I ask as I take a salmon canapé. Anthony simply quirks an eyebrow as if he thinks I'm asking a stupid question. "Only for the ones he met 27 years ago." "Pierre is now my favorite person." His eyes darken at that. "Who was it before? That Warren boy?" He asks.

The same kind of smile he used to give when I surprised him with fresh bread or an extra towel warmed in the dryer. Not big. Just… real. “I’ll come back.” As soon as he left, I headed straight for the kitchen. The cook looked startled to see me. She nearly dropped her knife. “You’re up early,” she said carefully. “Just wanted to use the kitchen,” I said, grabbing the apron. “Anthony’s coming back for lunch.” She raised an eyebrow but didn’t question it. I made oysters in garlic butter—his favorite. Pan-seared filet, a citrus salad with fennel, and a bottle of his aged white from the cellar. I didn’t ask the cook for help.

After I'm done with that, I move on to the chicken, which had to be the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Then the chips, then the sparkling cherry water. "And when I really think back to it, those books were not really the best series I've read. There's a lot of underrated novels that I believe the people just skim over and call it a day. Maybe when I have time, I can help support those novels, just so it has more exposure. What do you think Calvin?" I sit there, staring at my plate with a mixture of emotions in my head. I feel disgusting, but at the

"You are the best secretary I've ever had, Mrs Hunt." I roll my eyes as I dig into my lunch. Brown rice, brocolli and beef. Damien woke early to cook and pack the lunch. "This is so good!" I exclaim after the first bite. "Delicious!" "The cookbook is the best thing that has ever happened to me." Damien has been cooking a lot thanks to the little cute cookbook. He hated cooking until the cookbook happened. And now it has become one of his favourite hobbies. "Tell me the truth." Damien says. "What's wrong, Dani?"
