A ONE NIGHT STAND WITH DAMIEN SMITH
Smith at the head of the table, reading the financial section of the newspaper, and Rachel picking at a bowl of fruit.
"Good morning," Damien greeted, his voice calm but subdued.
Rachel glanced up, smiling warmly. "Morning, Damien. You look better."
Damien offered a small nod as he sat down, pouring himself a cup of coffee.
Mr. Smith folded the newspaper and eyed Damien sharply. “You do seem refreshed, but let’s not ignore last night. What happened?”
Damien leaned back, a faint smile on his lips. “Oh, nothing serious. I went out with a few friends and maybe had one too many. That’s all.”
