The space was large enough to fit a family of three comfortably with rooms furnished to their taste. “Woohoo!” A man screamed excitedly and I chuckled as the room got even more rowdy and noisy as the men scattered around the place, to various sections. “It's beautiful, right?.” A young soldier who I guessed to be about twenty-one or two speaks up with a grin etched on his bare face as he stood next to me. I was lost for a second until I followed his gaze. My eyes lit up at a Colt model 1847 walker, an M1903 Springfield, and a Krummlauf (STG-4) amongst a set of other exotic guns.

Colt asked in a dramatic voice, looking heartbroken. "I don't like the way you breathe. It's... too loud." Darren said and walked away. Colt looked hurt for a while, but he soon collected himself and took another sip of the porridge... ... and he got burnt again. I took the bowl from his hands and said, "Why don't we wait for a while before drinking it?" "OK." He replied while wiping his lips. Staring at the salamanders in the stream, Colt said, "I'm sorry for overreacting to your lizard friends. I have a phobia of reptiles. It's a primal fear. I can't control it."

* *crush* Without hesitation, Krittin swiftly retaliated, delivering a palm strike that sent one of the wardens crashing into the cave ceiling. The other warden managed to evade the attack and retreated to the cannon platform mounted below the central ceiling of the cave. The AB Cannon on the platform towered above, resembling a pillar-like cannon in Idorund's hands, but this version was colossal, comparable in size to a ten-wheeler truck. The bright streaks along its edges emanated from the glow of the giant Aiolia ore. It was a weapon that Airburst took immense pride in, capable of decimating an entire landscape with a single shot. And now, it was aimed directly at Krittin.

After an amazing week with India, didn’t it figure his weekend started out crappy? Colt’s morning had gone to shit after the engine on his four-wheeler blew up. If that wasn’t bad enough, he’d gone to check cattle and found two dead cows and one dead calf that’d been gnawed on by coyotes. Then he’d sliced open his forearm on a piece of metal sheeting in the barn when his mother called demanding he show up for Sunday night supper. He spilled gas all over the floor in the garage and the fumes gave him an instant headache. It was enough to drive a man to drink.

It was strange, if you asked me. Colt turned and wiped the sweat off his forehead, “Alright everyone. Take five! Get some water and get ready for the next session. We will begin tracking tactics shortly!” Out of the corner of his eye, Colt must have heard the crack and rustle of something. It’s the only reason to explain why he looked up to the tree-line in the distance that separated Tyr from the Forest of the Okapi at that moment and that’s when he saw me! Our eyes met. A subtle smirk formed on the corner of his mouth. It was enough to send tingled shivers down my spine and I panicked.

He starts, patting Seth violently on the back, Seth meets him with a cheerful demeanor as well, "What kind is it? It looks old but polished!" Seth's eyebrows raise as he takes his revolver from its holster, "Colt 1851 Navy Revolver." Seth looks over to another revolver tied to his arm sitting under his coat. He takes it out as well, "And this one is a Colt Pocket Revolver." Seth examines the barrel as if reminiscing. "You like?" "Yeah, it's very interesting, especially how old they are, how are they in such wonderful condition!"

I shouted, and he turned to speak when another voice came from the doorway. “Uncle Nate, I think we’ve managed to locate almost all of Owens’ men.” I stared in shock as Colton walked up to Nathaniel, who grinned at him. “Good work, my boy,” Nathaniel said and clapped him on the back. “No!” I exclaimed and tried to struggle out of Aaron’s grip again. “Dammit, Aaron, get off me!” I snarled “Yes, unhand my mate,” Colton said with a growl, and I growled in return as I felt Aaron’s grip tighten.

"Just blow the damn whistle… I'm so exhausted!" Agenor grunted as he barely dodged the creature talons, " My lungs are already way past their limits…" Colt nodded. He put his hand in his back pocket and pulled out a shiny red whistle. He took a deep breath and blew it. A sharp sound echoed in the entire vicinity of the forest. All of sudden, the beast's ears perked up and jiggled. Something unexpected happened. The bloodlust in his eyes faded like clouds on a sunny day. He immediately turned docile and backed off.

“How big was he?” “The same as at the packhouse. He didn’t shift in the time we took him to mine and Daphnes.” Colt comes running over with Daphne close behind. “Why the hell didn’t you answer me?” He yells at Aiden. “I needed everything to be quiet. I had to save snuffles.” Aiden proudly holds the rabbit out to Colt. “I cut you off, no biggie!” “You can eat him later, right now I need you to listen to me.” Colt snaps

asks my mentor by way of greeting, “was it Colt again? Did he poke another porcupine? Or try and catch another rattler? Kick a hornets nest?” Colt is a cub not long away from his first merge with his wolf but lacking any common sense and self-preservation. Not that different from most thirteen-year-olds of any species. Olive has treated him so many times over the years, she has a cot with his name written on it, just waiting.
