“I am not grumpy.” Apollo scoffed, a hand against his chest as his eyes widened in offense. “My disposition is absolutely sunny. And if you must know, I’m hanging this painting because your mate has not. It was a gift I gave him years ago, collecting dust in an enchanted closet.”
“I can’t imagine why.” I shook my head, eyeing the dazzling grin of Apollo, captured perfectly by whomever the artist was.
“Thank you, I—” He paused, eyebrows knitting together. “I truly hate sarcasm. Never a concept I’ve grasped, I’m afraid.”
