App Which Reads Text Aloud Novels & Stories

he whispered. I slightly shook my head. “No need.” Then I mustered my best smile and locked my eyes on Maxwell Blair. “I've been working on a certain idea for a few years. It's an app that can provide entertainment and elements of self-development through daily-delivered pieces of life advice or so-called words of wisdom.” His brows rose. “That sounds quite interesting. How exactly would it work?”

"Hi." "Lexa?!" It amazes me how he can recognize my voice with just a the light mention of a two letter word, the stupefaction evident in his voice, it's almost like I can see the panic in his face when he starts spurring out a jumbled mess of rushed words. "What the fuck Lexa? Where have you—, do you have any idea how—, I've been calling—, why the fuck are you calling with—"

’ Mary asked. ‘Well since our lovely Eira wants to forever carry children for strangers, I found the perfect app for it.’ Eira scoffed giving them a pointed look. ‘What app?’ Fatima asked placing her chin on Bushra’s shoulder. ‘It’s called a Surrogate App, you just fill in your bio with your surrogacy history and they help you find a client. Sort of like a dating app, the only difference is that you wait for them to message you first inquiring about it. Then you set up a meeting, and well the rest goes from there.’ Bushra explained. And, so began the fascination for the app. She was able to create an account and fill in the most important details, and even added a few pictures of herself. It

Then, like a thief sneaking back to the scene of the crime, I switched my phone on once more. I could not follow the rule about exposing it to the sunlight for three hours. It was pouring outside. The weather was so gloomy, just like the deep sea in my dreams. I tapped into the Echoes from Below application once more, but there was no sound. The waveform interface was gone and replaced by a basic discussion forum. There were not many posts, but every single title made the hair on the back of my neck stand.

’ I read the article with growing disbelief. “A senior member of staff at the computer software company, Kingpinz Robotics, revealed today that the company is on the verge of selling a revolutionary text-to-speech software called MOTHER to computer hardware company Sunrise Ltd. for the production an augmentative and alternative communication or AAC device, in a deal rumored to be over ten million dollars. Directors at Sunrise have been battling rumors of pay cuts and problematic working conditions for the past few months, and the acquisition of this software is a huge coup for them.” Slowly I lift my gaze to Damon. “What the fuck?”

At least let me refresh the phone and remove it from the ……record……Yeah nice try, but I’m not giving you the phone not till after the movie……This is the second movie we are watching……Sit back and relax "This was our conversation last night," I said after I paused the audio. I scrolled on to the last one and pressed play Shhhh……Mick… I’m …..so happy ……to see you…. Mick…. Who are you….. "The audio is cracking, I can’t hear a thing" “Give me the phone“ Liv asked as she grabbed the phone from my hand "What are you gonna do?“ "I’m gonna d******d an app that can clear the audio and remove parts that are cracking"

She nodded, "Yes. There is this app I have access to. It was bought by my company and can trace anyone as long as you have their number. No matter what the person does, once you put their number in the app, their name will pop up." "Can you find out right now?" I asked. "Yes, I can. Let me just look for a good place to park this car, and I'll do it." "No, no, no, It's okay. Let's just stop at the parking lot of the restaurant, then we can do it there." I told her. Mel drove to the restaurant and stopped at the parking lot. I gave her the number, and she put it into the app and began to search. A name finally popped up, and she told me, "Do you know anyone by the name Marlene De Antonio?"

It wrote, "Get your fortune told here at a 100% accuracy rate!" Kevin just chuckled icily. After that, he keyed in my name. The app took a moment to buffer. A short message popped up immediately. "She's right next to you," it read. Kevin just shook his head with a bitter smile. He was about to close the app when I realized that I could actually control the phone's keyboard. I managed to type out one word with great difficulty under Kevin's bewildered gaze. "Toilet!" Of course, Kevin was quite surprised. He didn't expect to see his phone automatically typing out a message on its own.

the robotic voice announced. I stopped dead in my tracks, the tension in my shoulders softening just slightly. A smirk tugged at the corner of my mouth. And yeah, don't ask me what the name means. But a text? A fucking text? I exhaled sharply. Did she forget? I couldn’t read texts unless I forced the damn screen reader to talk, and even that was slow and jarring. Why hadn’t she just called? Unless... no. I didn’t like the flicker of worry that ran across my thoughts.
