~Avery's POV~ “What do you mean by I'm the last Arcane?” I asked, staring at Valerie. My heart was still beating fast. I knew what an Arcane was. I had read about them during my studies in Oakridge. The story of the first Arcane was one of the oldest stories I had ever come across, especially because it was connected to the Voidborn. The Arcane were powerful magic users who existed long before the kingdom of Elarion was established. According to the books, the first Arcane had used an incredible power to seal the Voidborn away but the Arcane were believed to be gone.

"Why are you telling us this?" "Because... in the void... I felt her," the Omega whispered, a ghostly smile touching his lips. "The Old Meilin. She didn't just overload the feed. She left a Virus of Forgiveness. If you want to shut down the Eye, you have to find the Archive of the Forgotten—the place where Arthur threw the things he couldn't optimize." The Omega reached out, his hand shaking, and touched Leo’s chest. For a moment, the green fire flared one last time.

Finish Minnie, smirking. "But nice try though," Johan smirked. "Good job," says a voice that clearly is from a voice changer. We all look back to the television, the screen is now purple. "You may enter, liberos meos." I smile proudly, watching the wall behind the desk slowly opens to a tunnel. Still smiling, I enter the tunnel behind Kelly and Britt. I was so proud of myself after taking down Hade, that I didn't notice Scout was tense ever since La Reu spoke.

I watch her from the threshold of the subterranean archive, my weight shifted against the cold stone doorframe. Evelyn is sitting on the floor, her skin pale against the dim, flickering emergency lights, her hands still trembling from the residual energy of the shrine. I have spent years buried in this academy, playing the part of the quiet, royal scholar, hiding the fact that I have been scouring the foundations for a way to dismantle this entire institution. Lowering my gaze, I watched as Arlo stuck his nail into the end of the arcana, making it start to glow. As he spoke in a strange tongue, it began to slowly fade along with the world around me until all that was left was darkness.
