Archmage Restaurant Novel Novels & Stories

I really hated how they had some sort of mind link that let them share thoughts and junk while I was always lost and in the dark, unless the forest or one of my dead ancestors was feeling especially friendly and wanting to chat. Rather than answering my question, Brice made a big production over looking for a particular fast food restaurant. It didn’t take him long since we weren’t that far away from the airport yet, and soon, he was pulling through the drive thru, rattling off a list of food so long, you’d think there were ten people in our vehicle, not just two hungry wolves and a not-so-hungry mage who’d ordered anyway. Brice might’ve said he wasn’t that hungry, but he ordered himself thr

The whiskey is smooth on the way down, and I take another drink, wanting it to dull the ringing in my head, reminding me that my choices have led to hurting Chloe in the past…and how they’re going to again. * “I think we’ve been replaced,” Archer says, looking over his shoulder at Quinn and Chloe, who are walking down the sidewalk with their arms linked, laughing hysterically at something one of them said. We had dessert and another round of drinks before leaving the restaurant, and we talked and laughed the whole time. “It looks like we have.” We come to a stop at the street’s edge and Chloe and Quinn crack up at something again. “My favorite thing about the series are the familiars. They’r

"This is an elite Eclipse Moon Lodge feast. The token calculation for this game is at least twenty-five thousand silver trade-tokens. Surely the high-born daughter of the Winston bloodline doesn't need to beg like a rogue pup?" "You loud-mouthed omega!" Amy shrieks, her fingernails digging deep into her silk robes as she trembles. "Zack Argyros was the one tearing into the stag meat! My wolf didn't consume a single shred of the kill! Why should my den be the one to clear the debt with the lodge master?"

the Architect sneered, pointing up. The clouds glowed red, and giant words rolled across the sky, as if a huge invisible hand was typing: > “JULIAN AND MAYA ESCAPED. BUT THE COST IS HIGH. THE AUTHOR IS GONE. THE BOARD HAS NO LEADER. THE VILLAINS FROM OTHER BOOKS ARE NOW FREE.” Maya stared up, terrified. “Other books? What does that mean?” “It means,” the Architect said, smiling cruelly, “I’m not the only one hunting you. The Board kept a hundred books on their computer. Scary stories, war stories, stories of monsters that eat stars. Now, the walls between the books are gone.”

It was my idea for her to give the tickets to her brother so that they could ruin Ace’s plans for the night and she loved the idea… If only she knew that she was a pawn in my plans and I was elated to see my plan being executed beyond my expectations. Now it was on to the next plan. AMARA POV. I was right when I thought that it was going to be a mansion full of werewolves… I just didn’t expect there to be actual transformed wolves roaming about. When we first walked into the dining hall, I nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw two large wolves standing on either side on the inside of the doors. Ace chuckled and held me tighter to his side. This place was spectacular. Everything was decorat

The closer I get to the New City, somehow, I wasn’t able to do I work right, thanks to all the distractions. Instead right now, I am inside the same dining room I just left a few dozen minutes ago, but these time with another different company. She’d rather have lunch with Ares than even lay an eye on Ajax’s crimsons. “We’re here.” He beckoned at her. “Come inside. We shall have a seat.” She once again looked at the restaurant. It was nothing fancy, it looked like any other restaurant or tavern in town. She merely assumed this was Ares’s favorite. The two settled on the second floor of the restaurant where they took a table near an open patio with a breezy and beautiful view of the streets of Black City. When the menu came, Ares gave the book to her first. Lei stared, not knowing what to do with it. Ares let out a pleasant chuckle. “Please, take a look and tell me which you like.”

But before my brain could process more of the information, the bell on top of the door rang then, signalling the entry of another customer. Freya sighed and got up from the seat, her stance rigid as she was about to speak…but I held out my hand instantly, to silence her. "You can leave." My voice was harsh, my words a command; and even though Freya wasn't a wolf, she was so startled at the harshness of my voice that she actually stepped back immediately, heading straight for the kitchen. Good. She should stay right inside the kitchen, where no one could see her, especially the man who had just entered the restaurant. Because it was none other than Darcia Ruthwell. Then she looked back at me, and for a second, I saw the girl who had once told me she’d rather burn than be a bird in a cage. “Then,” she said, “we find out exactly what breaking the rules really costs.
