Arguing about who was reckless and who wasn’t. I just stood there. Watching. It was funny. They’d curse each other, then make up 5 minutes later. After 10 minutes, I got bored. “Okay, you both sound like toddlers fighting over snacks.” They turned to me. In unison: “You’re the one acting like a toddler.” Then they went back to arguing. I waited. When they finally stopped, they were breathing like they’d run a marathon.

When Shaylin realised she won’t get out of her predicament by staying pertinacious in her resolve not to apologise, a Tug of war game came to mind; the best way to defeat the opposing team is to let them believe they have already won. Hauling the rope with almost everything you got, almost, makes the opponents raise the stakes and pull even harder, but when they do...releasing the rope in just the right moment will send the opponents tumbling down like bowling pins, letting you drag them into their demise like squirming maggots through the mud.

Fifteen minutes of arguing… Maria and Kayla were very lost in the word-to-word fight which had been going on for about fifteen minutes now, and with Jerry trying to separate them, nothing stopped the argument. It’s a miracle no one was trying to shoot another or knock themselves out.

ANDREW'S POV: I thought about this for a moment. Amelia and I argued about things regularly. We argued about butter quantities in baking, we argued about the correct way to load the dishwasher and a lot more which were all arguments in which both of us believed we were correct. A formal debate was different. In a formal debate you were assigned your position by the draw of a lot and not by what you actually believed. Which meant one of us was going to have to argue for something we did not believe.

I shrugged. “ Did you even understand the basis of our argument in the first place?” I knew they wouldn't hesitate to throw me into the pool if they both didn't dote on me. “ You two should relax. I wasn't done talking,” I tried to calm them down. “ You two would fight againieach other with water guns and whoever loses will be the one to grill the next batch? Doesn't that seem fair?” “ Well, I guess that's fair enough,” Miro shrugged.

After presenting and explaining our side, the negating side did the same. I listened to their counter-arguments— jotting down some notes. I couldn't help but smirk because their arguments were as meaningless as ours. It's very easy to really have this debate on our side. After the claim, warrant and presentation of the data to support the warrant of each side, there goes my favorite part, the crucial 'clash battle'. In this part, more exchanging valid points would happen and then, literally making these valid points to be invalid in order to win. Clash battles usually dictate the game; specially if the structure of claim was not really supported by the warrant and data presented.

I had met men who thought arguing was about winning and losing instead of about finding the best answer. He was not like them. He listened. He adjusted. He changed his position when he heard a better argument. I walked into my apartment and dropped my bag by the door and stood in the middle of the living room. My roommate looked up from the couch. "You look weird again," she said. "I argued with a boy for two hours." "Did you win?" "I don't know." She raised her eyebrows and went back to her phone. I went to my room and sat on my bed and stared at the wall.

, Liam engaged in a conversation with Riley and Mia. “Me first, me first”, Riley and Mia argued over who should speak first, their voices overlapping in a cacophony of competing claims, each insisting they should speak first. “ Stop it girls, both of you shall be given a chance to speak”, Liam said as he gradually smiled. “I have an idea, how about we play a game, who ever wins, goes first”, Playing games with the girls was Liam's favourite pastime. “Rock , paper, Scissors”, Riley's hand shot out, revealing a winning rock. I go first, I go first “, Riley said excitedly as she jumped up and down.

" She said and i felt scared about the whole thing. Oh heavens! Kelly was into the game already. She was looking alive and ready. Tala wrote something on the piece of paper and then wrote number one to ten on another piece of paper. I watched in curiosity as she tore each number and folded it. "This game is similar to pick and act, but it involves two participant." She added. She made us sit on the floor, as we all sat in circle. A bottle of alcohol was kept in the center.

He blurted out. Kenziel tilts his head, considering Alexander's words. "A game of the mind?" He repeats, the corner of his lip twitching up in a half-smile. "Well, isn't that the most interesting kind of game?" "Pardon...?" "A game where the battlefield isn't physical, but in the thoughts and emotions of your opponent." Kenziel enunciated slowly. "A game where the weapon isn't a sword or a gun, but a single idea, planted in just the right spot to wreak havoc."
