Victor wanted to reluctantly argue, blinded by what was really happening but the next second his breath hitched in utter disbelief at the sudden occurrence flashing before him. “No… No!... im... impossible! It must be the drug… you must have released the fumes in here… yes! That has to be it… this was all part of your plan… have the others distract me… while you were secretly waiting to take me out…” The agitated man reasoned; clearly in denial as he stumbled backwards pressing on the wall behind him for support, his eyes intently glued to the scene of the glitching figure several steps ahead. “I… can assure you… this is no drug… and I am… Mike Rayburn… a soul with a vengeance.”

She was his fiance for almost a decade does the relationship seem no value to him? As she lay in bed, the memories flooded back - the fear, the pain, the violation. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of despair, unable to claw her way back to the surface. And the worst part was the lack of remorse in his eyes, the callous indifference to her suffering. It was as if he had no soul, no humanity left within him.

Ariana let out a shaky breath, turning her head towards the large mirror in the corner of the room. For the first time in a long time, she actually noticed her own reflection. Her face... The scar was still there. That flaw. The ugliness that was always used as an excuse to insult him. "I'm innocent, Nathan! Why is everyone treating me like disgusting trash?" Ariana's voice was soft, almost drowned out by her own sobs. She leaned closer to the mirror, touching her reflection with trembling fingers. "My face is disgusting... no wonder they're disgusted with me.”

The rage and the moment my control slips. What are you hiding! the eerie voice asks. Everything…… They will see everything……. No…. Just as I begin to drown in it and let go, a scent hits me……Vanilla…….like a forest after rain……human. Aria. No! Why is she here? Why is who here? the voice asks I ignore it instead I close my eyes concentrating on her scent and clinging to our bond just like I did in isolation. I anchor myself to her existence, to the promise of warmth and breath and something untouched.

“She named me unworthy. She hid the truth behind fate and mates and pretty lies.” My voice hardened. “But power always returns to its true owner.” The air trembled. “Aria does not understand what she carries,” I said. “Her body is a vessel. Her soul is a key.” I closed my eyes. I could feel her. Far away. Tired. Hopeful. That would make the fall sweeter. “She will come to me,” I whispered. “Either in chains… or on her knees.” I opened my eyes. “Go.” They rose as one.

“She is the Sovereign.” The declaration hung in the air, carrying the weight of destiny fulfilled and old truths overturned. The square, once a place of death and judgment, now stood transformed into the birthplace of something far greater. It was an awakening that would echo through the ages. Aria, supported by Ryan’s unwavering embrace, felt the truth of those words resonate within her newly awakened soul. The power no longer raged; it waited, patient and aligned, ready for whatever came next.
