Wish
I can feel the prickling sensation that has been rubbing against my skin wash away, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
A strange gleam enters his eyes, and he looks away, muttering, “Never mind. Just stay away from me, you freak.”
I close my eyes, taking a deep breath and wishing for patience before I meet his gaze, my voice level, “You know it’s things like these that make me want to rip your head off. And then I do things to you, which have you crying like this.”
“Whatever,” he takes a step back, his gaze wary. “I’m not doing guard duty with you.”
