A Time for Strength

A Time for Strength

We were hoping she would point out some things she liked so we could get an idea of her style, but she only seems overwhelmed at how much is going on with the hustle and bustle of back to school shoppers. “Dark cloaks.” Justice watches Kas with curiosity. “Dark cloaks?” I turn inward while Ashley points out a pair of ballet flats to Kas. “That’s all I’ve ever known her spirit to wear. Dark cloaks.” “Okay, well, I’m pretty sure the dark cloak store went out of business like… two hundred years ago.” I roll my eyes at her. “You said you want things to be different for her spirit now. So, let’s help her instead of pigeonholing her into how she’s always been.”

I thought this was a great book. It was interesting to read the perspectives of other characters, allowing us to see what they knew and when. My only complaint is a seemingly awkward ending. Does anyone know if the author is ok?

31 Chapters 07/13/23 Yesssss Sugar Mama, you've got my attention. Love a baddie, strong female with a saucy attitude. I was so tired of these weak little damsels who need big Zaddy Alpha to save them. I was horny throughout FL scenes. Thank you for that.

The Second Chance Mate

The Second Chance Mate

He loved being able to think of it as theirs. “Well, how does this look?” Ash asked, holding his arms out to showcase the outfit he had picked out to wear to birthday party that night. Adom checked out his Omega. He loved Ash, but Ash fashion sense was, well, rather lacking if Adom were putting it nicely. Ash had chosen one of his nicer pairs of black jeans and paired it with a plain grey V-neck t-shirt. He was wearing his usual combat boots. He didn’t look bad, by any means, but he also didn’t look as ravishing as Adom would have preferred.

Stranded in Thoughts

Stranded in Thoughts

I somehow got a vivid picture of what the newcomer was wearing. It was a sky-blue sheath dress with a Squirtle’s head print on the chest area. It was the manang on the island. Then, just as the last ray of sunlight slipped beyond the horizon, painting the room in shades of purple and gold, something happened. My fingers twitched.

Together, Forever

Together, Forever

Azhea got sheepish, she would love to at least picked some pair of pants and a shirt, but there was nothing in the clothes that Choven told him to have some. "Yeah, there are no shirts and pants," she said and old Khram chuckled. "Yeah, Choven give you what the pack doesn't use. Those dresses are not the pack's tastes. They prefer pants and shirts, they were more comfortable with it, I'm glad it fits you so well," she explained. "Thank you," Azhea sincerely answered her. She found old Khram as kind as her mother, and remembering her mother made her sad that she prayed to escaped as soon as possible...

Ryan, I'm crazy for him and want to read more about him never been obsessed with a fictional character this much but this book got me. I really loved the concept as it's something new to read about. although Jenny seems like good character I still need more chapters to reed to feel connect with her.
Kikky Alem
well written blurb that got me interested in this book and now I'm simpinh over Ryan and Asher. damn' the two best male leads. writing is smooth and easy to get connected with. although I feel that the book is bit slow processing but again I love the way the author makes me worth while. update more.

The Night Known As You

The Night Known As You

I better remember that my Caravan is at Hilldale Village, can't leave my portal mirror there. * Sound of door opening* " Kean, I'm back! There wasn't anything close to your uniform so I brought some extra pieces." Hikaru says as he hands me, a huge satchel of clothes without looking at me. " Thanks!" Man! He brought a lot... A cotton white hoody with no sleeves, a black vest, a leather jacket with shoulder guards, a white fancy button-down shirt, a black cloak.... there's still a lot more underneath. ..... I think I even saw underwear... Yup, I did... At least he brought in a big satchel.

Alpha Jasper

Alpha Jasper

Jasper cuts the moment in half with an awkward chuckle. "This is Thea. A friend of mine," Jasper explains. I feel him place his hand on the small of my back. "Of course. I get it..." Asher murmurs, a sly smile creeping onto his face. "Friends." I shake off his backhanded comment, as he starts walking off across his marble foyer. He wears a billowing cloak, threaded with gold, in patterns like dancing people across the back. This man clearly enjoys the strange fashion this Pack indulges in...Something almost too unsettling.

His Pet

His Pet

The only thing about the outfit that indicated I came from money is the gold chain clipped to my belt loop leading to my grandfather’s gold pocket watch that I kept in my front pocket. “Alright, let’s go then.” I greeted Ashton, stepping out of the water closet. Ashton looked bored, leaning against the wall, waiting, scrolling through something on his phone. Like me, he’d dressed way down for tonight. Wearing slightly filthy blue jeans, a long-sleeved green Henley, a pair of black and white sneakers, and a black baseball cap over his shaggy blonde hair, the brim partially hiding his whiskey brown eyes. “About damn time, mate.” Ashton pocketed his phone, grinning at me.

I loved this story! When I first saw it it was promoted as a CEO story, but it is so much more and so much better than that! The meta-humans, the seedy underbelly of illegal fight rings and such mixed with romance and hope and change…everything about this story is fabulous!

I'm almost done with this book, and I have to say, great read, as always, I've been nonstop reading. Also wondering if there might be a sequel, even to get ashtons views with tiff, or even for in the future??

Bestie's Alpha Brother

Bestie's Alpha Brother

Chris I stepped back from the mirror, straightening the starched collar of my crisp white dress shirt. The ceremonial attire of the Alpha of Moonstone pack always felt a bit stifling compared to the casual human clothing I had become accustomed to wearing in recent years. “Dammit…” With a frown, I tugged at the embroidered gold and sky blue sash draped across my chest, willing the thick fabric to lay properly. The sash was an old Moonstone tradition, the fabric supposedly imbued with magical properties dating back centuries. I didn’t know how true that was—it just seemed like regular old fabric to me.

The Price of Hidden Sins

The Price of Hidden Sins

Then, from outside the bedroom, Josh’s voice floated through the air. “Everything okay in there?” Ashley cracked the door open, her face peeking out, cheeks flushed and damp hair sticking to her neck. “Do you... by any chance, have a spare T-shirt? Oversized?” There was a pause, then a small laugh. “You mean, after swearing up and down that you'd never wear my clothes even in a global apocalypse?” Ashley narrowed her eyes. “I packed a whole suitcase of Korean snacks instead of clothes. I’m allowed to revise my principles.”
