Chapter one hundred and nine Atlas pov I was so pissed with Heyley, first that she would be sent for her family without informing me and also deciding to accommodate them without even letting me know . She came out of the room looking at me and frowning in her face, “What is Atlas?", she asked. “Let's talk in the room", I replied as I walked towards the room she walked right behind me. On getting to the room she backed the door with so much anger and it made a really loud noise, but I didn't care about her anger .

Athena mused aloud. Vincent watched as Athena explored his brother's room, her curiosity is evident. He noticed her gaze falling on Nyx's small bookshelf, where a collection of classic literature stood, including works by Kafka, Murakami, and Dostoevsky. He saw her pick up a book titled "Alice's Adventure in Wonderland" and remembered how much Nyx loved reading it. "He loved that book. It was always with him," Vincent said, watching Athena's reaction closely. "What book?" Athena asked, curious about the significance of the book.

It’s pretty funny, about a French snail who slithers up a picnic table. Yes, I was aware of his true nature; the blood-sucking demon that everyone feared. But out of everyone that roamed the Mansion, he was the least suspicIous. He was quirky, unserious, and he would constantly get scolded by the other warriors, especially Jacqueline. He was the unique one in the group. The weak link that happened to be very useful when the time came. So how could he stab me in the back?

"I'll search the library for books. Perhaps we can find someone similar to Saf in the registry." Saf tilts her head at Atlas, eyes narrowing, not in challenge, but in the kind of ancient skepticism that makes you feel like your skin doesn’t quite fit right. “You won’t find me in any book,” she says flatly. "But we will try. I also want to understand you." "Thank you, Atlas." Atlas nods, sharp and certain. It’s not a polite gesture. It’s a vow. A we’re doing this together kind of vow. And I feel better, seeing him in peace.

“I guess. So long as we both remain alert I see no problem in giving you some answers now.” “Well okay then. Firstly, where exactly are we? I’m guessing that its the standard we’re not on Earth anymore situation?” “That guess would be correct. We are, hopefully, somewhere in the Kingdom of Everaya in the Realm known as Hephaestia.” “Hephaestia? Would that be any relation to the Greek god Hephaestus?” “Well look who is smarter than she looks. You are correct. The god Hephaestus created this realm. All realms are created by a god, the humans from your realm managed to get at least that correct.”

I couldn't help but wonder if Valen lurked in the shadows, immersed in some urgent task or contemplation. Reaching the end of a shelf, my gaze fell upon a stack of books, their titles a tantalizing invitation to exploration. Yet, it was the bold letters of "Atlas" that beckoned to me like a siren's call. With a swift motion, I plucked the tome from its resting place, cradling it in my arms like a precious treasure. Making my way to a nearby table, I carefully laid the book down, anticipation bubbling within me like a dormant volcano ready to erupt.

AVA’S POV After the grand walk-in of those men in tailored suits with their leader, Vincenzo, who had me on chokehold, not because of his handsomeness, but because of the aura emitting from him, everything changed. It screamed danger so much that ice slashed down my spine at any given chance. And his soulless eyes? It was everything I wasn’t. Cold. Calm. Domineering. Dark and menacing. I almost melted under his scrutinizing gaze and the second he turned on his heels and disappeared down the hallway, I was finally able to breathe again.
