Rachel excitedly introduced me to the rest of the pack who had been away on a business trip and only just arrived back from what I had gathered. "Hello Luna, my name is Natasha." She was angry at him for startling her but everything melted down when fantasy kicked into her head again. After the first gym session with Damon, Arianna had admitted to her best friend that Damon looked pretty damn perfect for the third thing on summer quest list and Lorna had advised her to get to know him. Heather’s POV Panting heavily, I pressed myself into the dark corner, desperate for a moment to catch my breath. The wounds from battling Raven’s minions burned fiercely, and my strength was waning. Damon, always the relentless fighter, had taken down several of the minions before being struck by a wolfsbane dart. Now, he lay unconscious on the ground. It was Colt’s doing—he stood off to the side, watching the chaos unfold with a cruel smirk on his face, clearly savoring the destruction.

I soaked myself in the water for about five minutes before getting out of the shower, wrapped the towel around me, and came back into the room. Alpha Damon was seated on the bed but he wasn't the only one in the room. A young lady was standing beside him with her head bowed, she didn't dare to raise her head, making it obvious that she was afraid of Alpha Damon. “This is Zania, she will take you to your room and also show you to your new assistant“ Alpha Damon introduced. New assistant? Why do I need one in the first place? I might not be an adult just yet but I know how well to take care of myself without other people's help.

She turns to Damon and pulls him in for a kiss. My vision blurs as I lay on the floor, my strength fading. Through the haze, I see Lyra pull Damon into a passionate kiss. The sight twists my heart with betrayal and pain. As darkness closes in around me, I fight to stay conscious, to make sense of the chaos around me.
