I wish I had enough money for a phone and cordless headphones because it would be nice to fill some of this time with audio books. Maddie and I visit the public library every single Saturday morning. We check out the maximum number of books that we’re allowed, and we finish most of them before the next visit. We are both speed readers and enjoy learning as much as we can on almost any subject. But I can’t read on the job, so despite the library having free books on audio, most of my day is spent in silence.

I’ve never heard of it. I’m not much of a reader of books. I’m too distractible. When the money started to come in from the farmers’ market, I got into audiobooks, though. The sound doesn’t exactly drown out the pecking voice, but I can kind of focus on the narrator, and it really helps the day go by better.

I propped one of the books open on my legs and began to browse through it. Easton and I read the book together. I was glad to find that he read at the same speed as me, so I didn’t have to wait for him to finish before turning a page. We stayed in the library looking through different books about the Fae and Fae history for what seemed like an hour. I felt someone trying to mind link me, and opened the link. ‘Em, are you still in the library?’ Hannah’s voice asked. ‘Yeah. What’s up?’ I linked back.
