Author Genevieve Graham Novels & Stories

I headed to a corner of the room, hoping that would shed me from the sea of eyes. But that didn’t work. Eyes still stared. Mouths whispered. I scoffed, taking a sip of my drink. Among a group of investors, Damien stood, talking like he was animated. The lights from the chandeliers bounced off his clothes. From the gallery, I saw a familiar figure approach. Genevieve. She dressed up to kill. Her silver dress hugged her a little too tightly, the skirt sweeping the floor, shoulders bare. She had gathered her hair into a ponytail, unlike her.

Maisie chipped in, taking my hand and trying to drag me along with her but I was still admiring Jamie. “Oh.. that's fine. What's your name?” He asked me and I literally got weak in the knees but I couldn't let that show. I didn't want him to think that I was all over him, that would only make him take me for granted. “Genevieve.” I answered bluntly and he nodded. “I hope to see you before I leave Genevieve. Do have a nice day ladies.” He flashed us a charming smile and then went on his way. I turned around and followed Maisie.

“Ezra.” My eyes snapped open. Not Lily. Genevieve stood at the doorway, crisp white blouse, hair pinned into a bun sharp enough to cut glass. Her hands were folded behind her back. She looked like she was about to lead a military inspection, not a conversation. I sat up immediately. “Genevieve. Uh— good evening.” She stepped in, her heels clicking softly on the tiled floor. “Good evening, Ezra. I trust you’re rested enough to listen?” That tone.

“It’s honestly embarrassing.” Genevieve turned to me again and hold my hand back. “Momma, you most seek justice for me.” “Of course I will.” I said gently. “And even if someone tries to copy you… they could never be your equal. Because you are irreplaceable.” Genevieve’s lips curved into a satisfied smile. She pulled her hands from mine and turned toward Gionee, crossing her arms with a confidence that hadn’t been there moments ago. “As you can see,” she said, tilting her head slightly, “this is my music teacher.”

Since I ruined mine with that god-awful sauce, we switched plates. “Mmm,” I moan. “It’s good right?” she beams. “Like an orgasm.” I almost choke on my rice. She practically guffaws at my reaction to her bluntness. I love this girl already. She kind of reminds me of Cas. “So, tell me about yourself. Who is Genevieve…?” “Williams,” I finish. Who is Genevieve Williams? There are plenty of answers I could give her: she’s a rower for her school’s crew team, she brightens the eyes of adults with her work ethic and respect, she has dependable friends, she has a boyfriend, whom she loves, she—

A chocolate, petite, younger woman brought the bottle over to our table offering to pour. Attracted to her natural features, I couldn’t help but flirt with the gorgeous woman filling our glasses one by one. “So, what’s your name beautiful?” She shyly smiled before filling my glass and eagerly answering, “It’s Torian. You’re Edily Graham, right?” Delighted that she knew who I was I extended my hand to grab and kiss hers, “I am. How’d you know?”

her tone was sad. “I’m sorry, Mom. I’ve been so busy,” he apologized with a grimace, his expression filled with guilt and regret. Ava watched them quietly. Genevieve looked like an older, petite, feminine version of Zac. She had an average build and soft streaks of gray woven into her black hair. She was stunning in a graceful, ageless way. As Ava observed the heartwarming exchange between mother and son, an unfamiliar warmth settled in her chest. A soft smile played on Genevieve’s lips, and Ava couldn’t look away.

He betrayed me with all of his heart and went back destroying the life of someone really important to me. Genevieve was fourteen when she came to me with Thompson’s family. She was always cheerful and always a good person. I had always imagined the life I wanted to live in her. I treated her like my own sister and provided her with every facilities she needed for her growth and ease. Thompsons were always grateful to me for this. They were quite glad about whatever I had done to their daughter but honestly she was one of the member of my incomplete family too. I have always regarded her as one.

My answers continued to be the same everyday: “Good, no, and yes.” Always leaving me with a kiss on the forehead. Although my conversations were short with Xavier, my conversations were long with Geegee. I found out that Geegee’s full name was Genevieve Mathers. She was an Omega, who came from a lower ranking family. After her grandmother was killed by a rogue, she had no one left. Fearing for her safety, she traveled closer to the palace. While in the farmer’s market one afternoon, a gentleman accidentally bumped into her. Turns out that gentleman was Beta Ethan. She didn’t go into too much detail, but shortly after meeting him he offered her a job at the palace.

“Do all girls read The Great Gatsby? And would you consider it weird for a guy if you knew he’s read the entire thing cover to cover ten times in one year?” I read my reply, “I’ve read it more than twenty times already, so that obsession is very welcome. Oh, the only thing hotter than a gentleman is a gentleman that reads.” His reply: “You’d be glad to know I draw too.” “Well, let’s just say the back of my thumb is pressed to my forehead from the hit that is.” I’d added laughing emojis and cute hearts, too. “My name is Genevieve; Genevieve Carlyle.” “Is it bad if a guy swoons too? I’m Felix; Felix Whitmore.”
