I lift the beer to my mouth, taking a huge pull, humming as the cool liquid soaked my throat.
My so-called company kept his silence, content to just sit there, absorbing the stillness of the night. Hunter was equally handsome as Kai, but had no resemblance in their features. He had clean-cut dirty blond hair, hazel eyes, and suntanned skin.
“How is he?” I asked, breaking the silence.
Hunter’s hazel eyes darted at me, surprised I started a conversation.
“Why don’t you ask him yourself?” his brows curled.
I played with the label of my beer, picking at the edge. “I can’t.”
