VELVET
If there was a word big
enough to describe the desperation for
survival.
I brush my hair from my face, letting
out a hesitant breath, going over
everything and anything that could
happen within the next twenty-four hours.
The next five hours, really. The hair on my arms stands up and a fickle chill runs from the top of my spine, all the way down, and I have to stop myself from giving up on Avignon and the man currently residing
there.
I ponder on the sure fact that it'd be easier to run, but as someone too ambitious for her own good and four-thousand miles away from home, I've never been one to turn down a challenge. And boy, was Alex a fucking triathlon.
