So for me to feel this way about a guy is hard enough, but a guy that’s not my race is worse; he will die before me, and I will feel that pain tenfold, but if he doesn’t feel the same for me, if we do not get our time together, then I will be doomed to a life of misery. I decided to change out of the clothes that I had picked that morning, even though it felt like days ago. I reached for my plain old black jogging bottoms, a simple white sleeveless top and the old grey hoody Michael had given me one year when it was freezing. Snuggling down, I chose to read to pass the time. The Werewolves library was extensive, and I had only made a small dent in its vast shelves of books. Reaching out my h

Soon after I realized I can’t go back to sleep I opened my eyes and there is a girl my age, beautiful dark mocha skin with natural light brown and black short hair with coffee shade eyes staring straight at me. “Hello”, I said as I was awake enough to speak a simple greeting without my usual angry snark of someone not a morning person. She jumped off her bed after putting her laptop down and said in a hurried but soft voice, “finally you're awake. I have been waiting to meet you. Did you know you talk in your sleep very fascinating oh where my manners my name is Tearis Herven nice to meet you.”

A donkey stood where Mary stood a second earlier. “What?” The donkey rolled its eyes at Sally. “Even they think it’s funny. “That sounds like a title of a book actually.” The donkey laughed as Ryan turned to look at the high priestess and Deloris with questioning eyes. “Like that book…A Quiver Full of Arrows. This one will be, A Pack Full of Freaks… get it?” The donkey grinned at a horrified-looking Sally. The amused chuckles soon turned into laughter as both the high priestess and Deloris shook their heads at Ryan, indicating that neither of them had turned Mary into the talking donkey.

She cast her eyes around the room, catching glimpses through the eclipsing film, and the last thing she saw before unconsciousness claimed her was her copy of the Ruth Ware, the bookmark sticking out one third of the way through. I’ll never get to find out how it ends, she thought, before the black film covered over everything.

because I really feel like I'm not one of them. I am pale, no amount of basking in the sun could change my complexion, and trust me, I've tried. I am small, I am only as tall as ten-year old wolf-cubs, barely five feet tall. And my eyes are purple! How weird is that?! Wolves I know usually have eyes as dark as night, or as brown as earth or as gold as the sun! I bet no one has noticed it yet because of the low light but in the morning, everyone will notice and I bet that would make me an alien of some sort!

Chapter 21 EYARE I woke up to the chatter of birds chirping. With my eyes still closed, I searched for her but my hands came up empty. The bed was still warm. Her scent filled my nostrils and I breathed in deeply. I loved waking up with her in my arms. Where could she have gone? I heard the creaking of the bed and felt it dip. Her scent was stronger now. "Come here!" I said. My arms outstretched.

He kisses me on the temple with passion, squeezes me tight and I relax, rest assured that he means it because I know it’s true. AUTHORS NOTE - This is the End of Awakening but not the end of the Series. I do have more books related to this planned but this will be the last from Alora's story. In one swift motion, she grabs the novel off the shelf, jumps into bed, and opens to the first chapter. Less than an hour later, she tosses the finished book down and slips back downstairs for yet another snack. Coming out of the kitchen with a spoon to a tub of peanut butter, she catches sight of her mother's Kindle lying on the coffee table in the living room, unattended. With one glance around, she slips into the recliner and downloads the next book in the series.

Tristan's POV In the end, Willa signed the divorce agreement and walked out of the ward in silence. I was still too weary from having just woken up, and I barely managed a couple of sentences with Willa before drowsiness washed over me again. When I finally opened my eyes again, I realized that evening had settled in. Delilah walked into the ward with the warm chicken noodle soup and noticed the divorce agreement with both signatures. She merely set the container down and opened it, her eyes narrowing slightly as she said, "You woke up just in time, Tristan. I just made this, so please have some."

Chapter Nineteen Halle Wilder ~•~ I was restless throughout the night, I couldn’t even get proper sleep because a part of me was scared. I watched Ivy as she slept peacefully. Maybe I was just being paranoid. Ivy was on my side. After what felt like an eternity, the sun finally came up. Ivy yawned loudly as she stretched her arms and legs out before opening her eyes. When she turned to look at me, she saw that I was wide awake.
