"Thank goodness you are awake now." Alice said and gave out a relieved sigh. Aurora opened her eyes, sat up and looked around. "Where I'm I? What am I doing here?." She asked herself but Alice heard her. "You fell off the stairs two days ago at the house party and hit your head hard on the floor. We feared something bad might have happened to you, everybody was worried, I couldn't sleep for the fear of losing you." Alice explained excitedly, and pulled her into a hug.

When she woke again, she was lying on a hospital bed. The damning images from the black box surged back into her mind. She yanked out her IV needle in a blind frenzy. A nurse, catching sight of her wild struggle, quickly restrained her, shouting for a doctor to sedate her. "I want to see Kurt…" … I was at home, recovering, when my phone wouldn't stop ringing. My mother, finally unable to bear the noise, urged me softly. "Who keeps calling? Could it be something urgent?" I glanced at the glowing screen. That number—I could recognize it with my eyes closed.

I lick my lip to try and feel out what's so wrong, only to find teeth sharp and long, and a sensation of fur around the edges. I wolfed. I’m a wolf, and I shake it off, shake my head to bring my sight back to clear and fuzz-free, so I can turn and see the others around me. A weird movement that’s ungraceful and dog-like, that knocks me off balance. Nearby, a smaller wolf sits and looks at its paws, as I was, yet it glows too. Blue and surreal, as though the moon has rolled down to illuminate us with her touch, and it’s eerily pretty. Something I have never seen before at an Awakening. They don’t seem to be in pain anymore, either, and I wonder if the worst has passed. None of them is crying

Willow I wake up tucked into my bed, with a small bouquet of white flowers by my side and a bower or silvery blooms overhead. A note on my bedside table in a slanted script has my name on top. I open it and read: Willow, I hope you have slept well. I left you some sweet blossoms to ease any sorrows and remind you of me. There is elixir for strength and recovery in the refrigerator and herbal tea next to your mug. The herbal tea is a human blend that tastes good and soothes the nerves, but isn’t magical. Call me if you need anything, anything at all. I hope to see you at the grand opening, but will understand if you want to stay away from the club.

(Jane’s POV) The alarm stirred me before the sound ever fully reached my ears—3:30 PM, sharp, just as I’d set it. I’d given myself a buffer before four, knowing I’d need time to recalibrate. Not just wake up, but come back to myself.

Shit, he was the worst person to run into right now. "We-well, it's not the middle of the night and I was just going for a walk, maybe stop by the library and read a book to help me sleep," I formed an elaborate lie. Damon hummed as he walked slowly towards me. He glanced towards the book that I held against my chest. He motioned to it. "Is that not boring enough," he said, placing his hand behind his back as he peered down at me. How was I supposed to shake him!?

Thea woke up as her alarm rang. She sat on the bed and stretched her arms like a cat. The vision in front of her blurry and she rubbed her eyes for some time to get a clear vision. She looked at the time and saw she got up on time. It made her happy. If gets up on time than it means that she will reach her school on time and her day will get good it. She forced herself out of the bed and went to washroom. She took her brush and squeezed out some paste on it and started to brush her teeth. After she was done, she rinsed her mouth.

They were only clear and calm. Then, he sighed and told me a long story. … Jason's life had been smooth sailing—except for the year he was six, when he was kidnapped. In the bumpy, swaying bed of a truck, a little girl about his age quietly fed the unconscious Jason a piece of candy she had hidden away. Before the sweetness reached him, the scent of blood from the girl's injured hand hit him first. She said her name was Sunny, and that she was her mother's little ball of sunshine.

Alternating pov: Dawn had barely touched the horizon when the pain woke me—sharp, rolling, electric. My whole body trembled, skin too tight, bones burning. I gasped and clutched the blankets, trying not to scream. The door flew open. “Sera.” Kade was already at my side, dropping to his knees. He must have been waiting. Watching. Ready. “It’s starting,” I breathed, voice shaking. “I know, baby. I’ve got you.” He swept me into his arms, holding me like I weighed nothing.

Ava's POV I shifted in the bed but I couldn't feel my husband's warm body close to mine. Perhaps he went down to drink something to help him sleep well. He often had insomnia. I walked down the stairs to get some milk, I felt a bit uneasy and my wolf has been restless for some time now. I had gone for a run and tried so many things to calm her down, but they didn’t work. Sage was sitting on the stool in the kitchen, drinking some milk.
