BEHIND CLOSE DOORS

BEHIND CLOSE DOORS

And after everything, he and Irene went to the hotel they booked for their wedding night, tomorrow, they would fly to their new home and have their honeymoon there. *** At Beverly hills, there was a very big house with flowers planted everywhere. It had a beautiful garden which had the scent of freshly bloomed roses and lilies. There was a colorful walkway from the gate to the porch of the building and with fleet of cars and power bike, “what a beautiful house and cars,” Irene said with a smile, “your father really gave us the best.” “You like it?” George asked her. “Like it? I love it honey.” A man approached them with a smiling face, “welcome ma’am, sir, I’m Lucas, the security.”

Beyond the abyss

Beyond the abyss

"Where will I go? Who would take pity on me? Oh, father! Where are you now? I miss you so much!" He trod his way to the store. It was closed so he tried to knock, twice he did, but no one answered. One of the neighbors who was passing by saw the young lad and told him that the owner went back to her hometown and would only come back after a week. Saddened by the news, Imman found his way to the park and slept on one of the benches, looking pitiful and hopeless.

Beyond the Divorce

Beyond the Divorce

“What’s there to check out? Let’s just sell that Bibury house.” “No, let’s rent it out instead! We can’t sell it,” my mom sounded defensive. Mom, you’ve seen how big this place is. You guys have plenty of room to stay. Atlas’s parents passed away long ago, so he’s been alone for so many years. Why go back when we’re all together? “Sell the Bibury house, and I’ll figure out how to ship Dad’s books back here. You don’t need to go back there anymore.” As soon as I finished speaking, Atlas entered the small living area and chimed in, “Chlo’s right. You guys don’t have to go back there, especially since Dad has gotten used to things here.”

It was a good book. A lot of the mixup/changes in names/locations was very annoying. Wish we would have gotten a little more out of the ending of one of the main villains. Chapters also needed to be longer; a lot of money spent on this book for 5-6 pages per chapter.

I loved this book. I liked all the characters and their interactions. Loved Atlas & Chloe together. Parts of the book are very suspenseful and made it hard to put down. Liked that she was a mom and a business owner. She was strong and intelligent. Hated that the book was over. Highly recommend.

Cursed Fate

Cursed Fate

, everyone yells in unison. I stand up and walk out of the room. I walk down the stairs and towards the backyard. I halt when I see a door. I have never seen this door before. I open the door and see an office with books in every shelf. A chair and table with a laptop on it, newspaper beside the laptop. I walk to the shelf in the hopes I see an intriguing book. I see one title, 'What lies beyond'. Catchy title. I will take it. I grab it and the shelf opens. I couldn't see anything because it is dark and smell of dust.

Babes Stripping for Love

Babes Stripping for Love

They all stood in front of Novelty, the book store that had been converted into a small book cafe with scrumptious cakes on display. Hazel's hands were flat against the store window, her face was busy looking at the cakes making Gage chuckle and he grabbed Bree's hands in his. "Come on, Bree, we're not letting her drool in front of a window store."

BEYOND THE MOON

BEYOND THE MOON

The backyard had picnic benches covered in white table cloths with roses sitting in the middle of each table releasing a relaxing fragrance in the air. The hung fairy lights I saw earlier were lit as they looked like floating stars. There was a podium and a few white cushions up the stage. I guess that was where the alpha and other officials would sit. The whole backyard was decorated so delicately. It was stunning yet simple, like we walked into a fairytale. As the meeting commenced, the air was filled with anticipation. Dad, Spencer, Chloe's Dad and some other men from Crescent Pack sat on the stage leaving two spots one for Alpha Kael and the other I didn't know who it was for.

A Step Back

A Step Back

“It was said that Evelyn Grant had a secret boyfriend, her senior in college, named Jake Lowe.” “And it specifically pointed out that you, Henry, had a grudge against Jake.” In my previous life, I never understood why Evelyn had tried to destroy me. After all, I saved her. It was not until my dying moments, as I lay blind in that prison cell, that a memory came back to me — the one detail I had overlooked. I had once gone to the university bookstore to buy a book. By chance, I saw her in a back alley with that senior, Jake, locked in a passionate kiss.

Leaving the Past Behind

Leaving the Past Behind

"Jerry, are you trying to dissolve my teeth with all these lemon bars? Who sends an entire batch at once? If I end up toothless, you'd better believe you're holding my hand at the dentist." After getting home in the middle of the night, I started sorting through the things I wanted to take with me. Later, Jerry finished his nightly routine and noticed my cosmetics were running low. He frowned and said, "I'm going to the Eastern pack next week to talk about a mining deal. They've got the biggest shopping mall there. Put together a list of what you want, and I'll pick it up." "No, thanks." What was the point? I'd be gone soon anyway.

BEHIND THE VEIL

BEHIND THE VEIL

Grace spread her arms defensively. “Yes. She's not." Amaya spoke up too. I just stood behind them with a rigid heart. It was as if the cigar had wiped away my fear hormone. “Let me just follow her. I'll be back girls." I said with less concern, my voice deeper than usual. Grace turned to me, worries written all over her face.

Behind the Veil

Behind the Veil

When I ran into Nathaniel again, he seemed like a shadow of his former self. I wanted nothing to do with him, so I spun on my heel and ignored him. Nathaniel tailed me closely like a man haunted by ghosts. He apologized to me. "I've sent Helen and Nelson off. I gave them some money. They'll never come back, and my mother's not going to be a problem either. Come home, Ginny." Home? How laughable, and I said as such, "We no longer have a home together."
