A month had passed, Jade moved back to her house but didn't get shipped abroad, rather she and Adrian had applied for college at Stanford university California. They both got in and both families were pleased, Jade was already a straight A student and Adrian was a wizard with the computer so all he had to do was work up his grades in other areas and he did well. It was the day before they left for school, their flight would take off the next morning. His phone buzzed on the table, there was a call, his sister was on the line, Adrian's parents were never around, but his sister was one person who had always been there, she was a big part of his life and they had a strong bond

"Yeah come here and introduce yourself" Aaron stood up and walk to the center. "Hello guess i don't have to give introduction because every body knows me well here. I am old student here. Still i will introduce myself. I am Aaron" Old student word grabs Jospeh attention "Old student" "Yeah at first I dropout from here but now i am back. Because i miss my school, i miss my classmates. And i miss everything and girls i promise I will start flirt again" Girls chuckles. Then Aaron winks at Freya. Freya looks at him angrily

“And where is Sarah now?” I asked, folding my arms across my chest. “She’s returning to school next week,” Scott scoffed. “And once she returns, we will be the ‘it couple’ and you will have nothing.” She’s returning to school already? The thought gave me an unsettled feeling in the pit of my stomach, but I wasn’t going to make that known to Scott. “Well, isn’t that nice,” I said to him. “As fun, as this is, I have a party to enjoy.”

He let out a bitter laugh and walked away. As it happened, he ran right into my dad, Marcus Nichol, who was just coming home. Without saying a single word, Dad simply punched him hard and strode off. The others finally accepted their fate as well, each selling off their belongings to pay back their debts. Some still wanted to retake the SAT, hoping that if they pushed through and waited until next year, when the whole thing blew over and no one remembered them, they might still have a shot at an Acorn League college.

Kate thought the disorganized organized sport was a viable explanation for all the pent-up teenage male energy. The usual places Josh and The Retaliators hung out were the rooftop and The Bowl. The first was part of the brand new school building and was supposed to be off-limits to students but somehow The Retaliators had a duplicate of its door key. The second, The Bowl, was a two-acre natural depression enclosed by forested, undeveloped land and was in effect like a park. It was a ten-minute walk northeast of the academic buildings and Josh had invited Kate plenty of times but she accepted only twice.

CHAPTER THREE VENITA POV~ I was pulled roughly onto my feet, causing a small red coin to drop from the pocket of my clothes. I wasn't naturally superstitious, but for some reason, I grabbed this tiny object and moved with it wherever I went. "I need to pick my coin, please." I begged desperately. The guard to my left, Ricky, huffed. "What good do you think that'd do for you?" Tears strolled down my face, but I refused to take any more steps forward. "Please, Ricky. Just... please."

When word got out that I was back, Nathaniel started showing up at the house almost every day. I had no choice. On the second day of the new year, I told my mother I was leaving. Once I left home, I got back on the bus heading into the city. I had barely sat down when I heard shouting from the station. Nathaniel had spotted me. He hadn't even bought a ticket and just tried to rush inside. The security guard caught him and blocked the way. "Let me through! I need to find someone!"

"Tell me, Elsa, was it worth it? Throwing yourself at Jace like some desperate little pick-me?" "Leave her alone," Sarah snapped. Laureen smirked. "Or what?" My throat was tight, my chest arched, people had started gathering, watching, cameras clicked. "I mean," Laureen went on, her voice loud now, "Jace Weston? Really? That’s some serious delusion. No way he touched that..." I clenched my fists, but I couldn't speak, not with the whole school starring at me. Then I heard my name. No, not my name.

Just as I was about to explain, Kenneth cast me a disdainful glance. "If you want to come back to the company, that's fine. Apologize to Mr. Majeed and his wife right now, then get on your knees and apologize to Emily. On top of that, you also need to write a thousand-word self-criticism. "If you can do that, I'll treat that resignation letter of yours like it was bullcrap." The moment he finished speaking, the steaming pot of meatball soup was served. The broth was luscious, with meatballs floating in the milky-white broth, interspersed with striking red petals. It was a visually stunning dish.
