"Then we'll learn together." Duke smiled, the expression transforming his face. "Starting with something completely ordinary. Like ordering pizza and watching bad TV."
Despite everything, Valentina laughed. "That's your idea of normal?"
"Hey, I've been in a cell for weeks. Right now, pizza and TV sounds like paradise."
They ordered food, settled on the couch, and tried to be normal. But the club meeting loomed, and at seven-thirty, they headed for the clubhouse.
