No matter how wasted I was, I always returned to my own room. This morning, though… everything felt wrong. A deep, aching pain pulsed through every muscle. A stinging soreness crawled up my thighs, unfamiliar and terrifying. And on top of that—a weight pressed against my lower body, solid and unmoving, as if someone was draped over me. My stomach twisted. I groaned softly as I tried to shift, to push the heaviness away. My eyelids felt glued shut, my skull pounding with a brutal hangover. Still, I forced my lashes apart.

Lily slowly opened her eyes, feeling the weight of fatigue settle into her bones. Attempting to shift in bed, she was met with a wave of discomfort that shot through her body, as though she had just completed an intense workout. Grogginess clouded her mind for a moment, making her briefly disoriented.

I feel weak and sore. My body feels very heavy. As if, a huge boulder was pressing against me. I cannot even move a finger without feeling discomfort. What happened? My eyes frantically scanned my whole being. Just then, the disturbing memory of my weightless body thrown into the window, flashed before my eyes. It appears that I forgot to wear my seatbelt. I-I am...okay? The white ceiling and the smell of disinfectant calmed my panicking spirit, yet my brain was churning fast that my head ached.

Or at least, they think I'm helpless. I've been testing my legs when no one is around. Three days ago, I couldn't feel anything below my waist. Now, there's a tingling sensation, like pins and needles. Yesterday, I managed to wiggle my toes. This morning, I bent my knee slightly. The feeling is coming back.

So, Molly turned around again and patiently asked, "Where does it not feel well?" The smile on Sean's face suddenly became brighter. Immediately, his slender fingers pointed to the knee, "Here. I feel sore here." Molly glanced at Sean's knee and breathed a sigh of relief. "This is the knee joint. I guess it was because of the cold weather and rain yesterday. Plus, You have been doing your rehabilitation recently and exercising too much, which causes discomfort. But, it's fine. You should stop the rehabilitation first, and I will prescribe you some medicine. You can also massage your knees a little more regularly."

I massaged my temples and was curious about why Saturday was close to Monday and Monday far from Saturday. Zipporah snuggled her cheeks on warm tough pillows, her neck felt well stationed and she didn’t want to wake up from her comfort spot. The only problem was the thumbing and imbalance her brain felt. It was almost like her bed was walking on a treadmill. She groaned when her knees refused to stretch and her legs felt too light and weak.

I wake up feeling heavy and lethargic, my body refusing to budge from the soft sheets. The warmth of the sun seeps in through the window, casting a soft glow across the room. I blink my eyes, trying to get rid of the sleep that still lingers in them. But even as I sit up, I feel a dull ache in my head. I stretch, trying to ease the tension in my muscles, but it only seems to make it worse. I can feel the soreness in my arms and legs as if I've been working out too hard. But I haven't done anything to warrant this kind of exhaustion.

Timothee wasn’t feeling well that night. The moment she got home, she felt like something wasn’t sitting right at the pit of her stomach. She didn’t exactly know how to describe what she was feeling, but she just wanted to sleep it all out because after all, she might just be tired, especially after working for hours during the day. It might also be because of the anxiety and pressure that she was feeling in her chest that was making her feel as if her body felt heavier than usual.
