Both were nothing, as I kicked my back legs out at the unknown rogue and heard the snapping of bones as I shattered his jaw. Followed by his yelp of pain. Jack, seeing that he wasn't going to get my throat veered left and jumped onto my back, sinking his teeth into my shoulder.

He growled and bit down enough to keep hold and shook his prey who remained absolutely still.

Hugo taunted, his voice steady. Kael roared and shifted into his wolf form, his light brown fur rippling as he crouched low, ready to strike. Hugo followed suit, his transformation swift and seamless. His larger, more commanding wolf form stood as a stark reminder of why he was Alpha. His dark fur bristled, and his glowing sea-green eyes met Kael’s with a fierce determination. The fight became primal, claws and teeth clashing as the two wolves battled for dominance. Kael’s raw strength was impressive, but Hugo’s precision and strategy quickly turned the tide. Hugo pinned Kael to the ground, his massive jaws inches from Kael’s throat.

We were in our wolf forms, sparring in the middle of the woods, under the smoky evening and dimly moonlit sky. Beck’s wolf was a huge, gray animal with fur sticking out like thongs.
