He raised his hands in the air before zipping his chatter mouth.
We wandered through the stalls, picking out crisp vegetables, a fresh catch of tilapia, and warm pan de sal wrapped in brown paper. Cameron haggled half-heartedly with a dried fish vendor who grinned too widely, while I listened, amused.
"Ma'am, fresh galing Batangas, oh," the vendor said, holding up a fat eggplant.
"If it’s as fresh as you claim, why’s it drooping like my will to live at board meetings?" I replied with a raised brow. Cameron chuckled behind me, covering his mouth.
